Title Brand: MANUFACTURER BUYBACK DUE TO HPFP (more info in ad, have all proper documentation)

I’m selling my 2009 BMW Z4 sDrive35i Hardtop Roadster that is fully loaded with all options, as well as some tasteful modifications which suit the vehicle well without taking away from the driving pleasure which is BMW. The car is Alpine White with Black Kansas Leather Interior. It has the Cold Weather Package, Technology Package, and Premium Package. The car has no problems at all and the only reason the car was recalled was for a high pressure fuel pump (HPFP), which if you read the credible articles I have shared below, it should erase any doubt as to buying this particular California-born car.

This car is in excellent mechanical condition, and has incredibly low miles as it was only a weekend car for me and the past owner. Despite being a 2009, the only flaws on the car include some light drivers floor mat wear, and a small scratch on the rear bumper from being bumped in a parking lot (despite parking far away, sigh…). The torque of the 3.5 is leagues better than the small 4 cylinder, and also the underperforming 3.0 engine. Paired with the 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission with paddle shifters (that actually respond like a sports car should), this car is a real joy to drive both around town and spiritedly. I also have some limited service records from when the car was serviced at Dreyer & Reinbold BMW in Indianapolis, and also Worldwide Motors, a highly accredited German-specific import shop located in Bloomington, IN where routine oil changes and service was performed after the warranty expired in November, 2013.

Unfortunately, the car was recalled under warranty with only ~7,000 miles on the car due to High Pressure Fuel Pump failure in California. California is known for their low-requirement lemon law which basically allows a consumer to exchange their vehicle to the manufacturer in exchange for a new vehicle if there is any problem. This High Pressure Fuel Pump issue which plagued many BMW’s in 2009 is written about by Donohoo Auto saying the “best values in the used car market right now are BMW”. The reasoning is that this problem which caused many cars to be bought back including this BMW Z4 is actually covered by BMW USA for 10yr/120k Miles meaning that the buyer who purchases this BMW Z4 will not have to pay for this issue if it ever were to arise again. In addition to this, BMW has made strides in fixing this part and changed the HPFP in this car to meet the new specifications. I have had zero problems with the car in my ownership, and the car has never exhibited any of the symptoms listed in the article.
Below is both the link for the journal article, as well as an informational forum post in how to handle any HPFP problem. If you know BMW and have been following their brand, you now know that this “Lemon” is simply a car given a bad name, and an excellent way to save thousands over the $35,000 retail price which this car is worth.

So it's salvaged title ?

No. It is a clean title with a "Manufacturer Buyback" brand.

Completely different from a salvage title which indicates a car that at one point was not deemed road worthy.

This is the result of a customer being unhappy with a car due to a failed fuel pump and forcing the manufacturer to buy the car back. Manufacturer fixed the car and then sold it back onto the market as a used vehicle with the title note of Manufacturer Buyback. If you read the supplied articles, youll understand why i had no problem or worries with buying it.
