Figured id see if anyone here on zilvia plays around with Rfactor at all. Ive been playing it for 4 years, hands down the best drifting/ pc racing sim ive ever played. If you can think of a car you'd want to drive, theres probably a mod for it. Ill say it, there is no better drifting experience in gaming.

Check it out if you have no clue what im talking about: http://rfactor.net/web/rf1/

Screens to show you how awesome this shit is.

I've been grip driving rF1 for 10 years now....rF2 has a pretty sold tire model but if your machine can handle it Assetto Corsa is where it's at..Gorgeous visuals and there's a pretty strong drifting community there too..

As an Assetto Corsa user I will have to agree with heychris on the demand put on the pc by this sim. It's my first real sim that I play (gran turismo all my life until now). Graphics are stunning compared to iracing and rf2. Now keep in mind I've never played those, so I only know what I've seen on youtube. I don't drift on purpose but sometimes I do slide the car a bit a corner just for fun. Anyways so far I give it a thumbs up and highly recommend playing it on triple screens. Still fairly new mods are limited.

Iracing has pretty awesome tracks...super accurate and a pretty diverse content (no drifting though)...

Triples are great but I'm holding out for Oculus

Assetto Corsa is where it's at right now, strictly speaking about physics and driving. Best driving in a sim I've ever tried.

Have also played the upcoming Project CARS... It's good, but feels different... more similar to Forza/Gran Turismo. It's not Assetto Corsa, but will be worth a buy also, IMO.

I believe both will also support the Occulus Rift.

I've been tempted to get AC for a long time now but the pricetag is whats been holding me back. I'm sure its worth it though. How have you played Project Cars if it isnt released? And i absolutely cant wait for the oculus to come out. every game is going to be insane but i can just imagine reverse entries as you look out your driver side window.

People have been beta testing it on PC for a long time now. Closed beta though... but it's possible to find various builds of the game floating around out there on the internets right now. It has slightly more impressive visuals than Assetto Corsa, but ran like shit in comparison. AC seems better optimized.

It does have more variety in tracks and cars though... and the in-helmet cam is pretty sick. (Kinda gives a preview of what using the Occulus will feel like... only it does the head turning for you going into each turn.) Also seems to have a pretty good tire model, but the physics and feel of the suspensions in AC is what makes it stand out as having better driving feel, I think.
