I was thinking about replacing the stock turbo manifold with one of these.

Their from ssautochrome on ebay. Has anyone tried these. Are they dyno proven?. Also whats the fitment on them?

Don't go with them... i haven't heard anything good yet... if you are looking into getting some nice manifolds.. pm me and i'll send over a pic of it.
Has anyone tested out the helix ones that tougefactory sells? They look pretty good and have a comparable price to the ss autochrome.

There all the same.. and besides... you see cheap ss manifolds in drift tengoku, which leads me to belive there are cheap knock off manifolds in japan too?
anyways, if you go with a downpipe with a flex section, it should be ok. Im gonna go this route.

I have the helix stuff on my car. The manifold was ok, just a bitch to put in. now here come the retarded part. The elbow that Helix sells (looks just like the one pictured above) doesnt fit in a US car with the steering rack in the way. The wastegate dump tube will not clear the rack. We made it fit by taking a hammer and flattening the tube to allow clearance but that sucked for exhasut flow. Also the O2 sensor bung is too big and we had to weld a nut that we could thread the o2 sensor to. Also there were no studs provided to attach to the downpipe. Also the stud holes were threaded only halfway so I had to rethread it by hand which sucked donkey balls.
Id grade the manifold a B since the finish was kinda scuffy, and the tubes dont look equal length. I ended up doing a thermal coating on the manifold in order to keep the heat in the tubes. The Turbo Elbow was coated as well, and I'd rate that an F. If i had a RHD car It would get a C.

If i had to do it again I would get the silk road manifold and elbow

search hondatech. they have alot of experience with those.
in short, they are known to crack. But then ofcourse those ppl that have them crack have a turbo, a wastegate, wastegate piping, exhaust piping and intake piping all supported by the manifold.... which i would expect any stainless steel manifold to crack under those conditions. Brace it up, and you should be alkright.

I have that elbow. I dont have my car running yet but it is so restrictive when you look at it when its connected to dp cat and all that shit, the outlet is like 2 inches compared to the rest is 3. dont know how its supposed to help from stock, seing stock is about 3 inches, the only diff is the 2 outlets, but they feed into one, which is 2 inch.

the reason that it would help is that if u look at the stock o2 elbow, the wastegate air hits a wall basically and has to run into the turbine exhaust flow, the ss one attemps to smooth out the flow, by givin both a smoother path to follow out of the turbo.

You know the separate wastegate dump tube is a great idea, now if it only fit US spec cars without having to do this to it.

I was so upset especiually after having it coated wit a thermal dispersant and wanting it to get installed all nice, and then have to hammer the phuck outta it just to make it fit because Gruppe-S did no RnD on the stuff the make and sell.
