I'm confused. Can the Type X Aero kit not fit onto the coupes?

I can't seem to find examples or pictures of type X coupes, however I'm sure someone has tried to do it somewhere.

I've read that the front and lip will fit, as will the side skirts however the rear bumper and valences do not..

Is this true?

I also saw a company called VersionSelect makes a replica type of Type X kit for the coupes.

http://www.versionselect.com/images/philll2.jpg

I know the front bumper is a little different however I'm looking for pics or info on this.

I'm trying to find examples and pictures of a full type X kit (or something EXTREMELY similar) on an s13 coupe WITH the pop-ups and not a silvia front end conversion.

Can someone help a brother out?

also, did you know that orange fruit contains a variety of phytochemicals. Hesperetin, naringin, and naringenin are flavonoids found in citrus fruits. Naringenin is found to have a bio-active effect on human health as antioxidant, free radical scavenger, anti-inflammatory, and immune system modulator

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't "Type X" just the premiere trim of 180SX released in the kouki models? It's just been eating me up whenever anyone posts about anything kouki S13. From tail lights, lips, seats, aero parts, to the engine... Should it just be known as kouki? Or is everything really Type fucking X????

In the s-chassis world the way it works is the earlier models are called "zenki" , then later "chuki" and the later models called kouki.this applies to both s13 and s14.its a generation thing I guess.as for the 180sx type x issue, there was a couple different 180sx trim models for example the type x,type s, type r..type x being the "full package one" .not sure if how I explained this made any sense or even answered your question.

I believe the whole "Type-X" thing came to be because that's what it's been referred to in magazines and on the websites selling the parts. Being that the words "Zenki", "Chuki", and "Kouki" aren't part of the English language, they aren't used very often in mainstream advertising or media because the general public doesn't know what those words mean, and that's who is flooding the S-chassis world right now is the "general public". There are less purists in the community now than there has ever been.

"Zenki", "Chuki", and "Kouki" aren't exclusive to just the S-chassis world. These are just describing words used to distinguish different iterations of the same model. "Zenki" meaning "Early" model, "Chuki" meaning "Mid" model, and "Kouki" meaning "Later" model. Example 180sx: "Zenki"= '89-'90, "Chuki"= '91-'95, "Kouki"= '96-98. Example S14 Silvia: "Zenki"= '95-'96, "Kouki"= '97-'98 (only 2 iterations so only Zenki and Kouki are used, no "mid" model). Example S15 Silvia: '99-'02. (no describing word because there was only one model).

Where the confusion comes in is that the current generation of S-chassis "enthusiasts" (not talking about the purists) don't understand the words "Zenki", "Chuki", and "Kouki". Instead it's "Pignose", "Sharknose", and "Type-X". They also don't understand that the Type-X trim package was also available on the Chuki model 180sx.

Holy shit there are a lot of basic questions being asked in here.

Did you guys also know that it's called a 240 because it came with a 2.4 liter engine?

I thought only the "type x" rear valances were available for the chuki as an additional option? Not like it matters but yeah.

And it's hilarious when it comes up and I say I have kouki aero on my s13 and half the people assume it's s13.4 :coold:

It was an optional part on both the Chuki and Kouki 180sx. The standard Type-X trim package didn't come with the valence or front lip.

Both the lip and valence were part of the "sports package" along with the rear tail light garnish and fog lights.

Yes, i knew ALL of that. I was just tired of everyone saying "type x" for everything kouki 180. It just grew to be the norm for so long that I wasn't even sure I missed a sudden agreement that everything was type x. Or if anyone was bothered like I was.. Although I didn't know that the chuki models had that trim first.

Anything is possible. This coupe has the rear valences. Anything for the front or sides will indubitably be interchangeable between s13 coupe/hatch

Add a kouki 180sx front/wing and it might just pull it off

. Vert with 180sx kouki fronts look so good too

i did front and sides on my previous car a couple of years ago. i was never able to find coupe rear valences that matched the sideskirts, and i don't think silvia rear valences look good with the rest, i tried.
