I'm seriously considering parting out my BMW. At this point this is still sort of a feeler. This made 500WHP easily. I have about 15 grand "invested" in just the motor/trans. The wiring harness was mostly rebuilt and is very clean.
In order for me to consider ripping the car apart, I'd need to get about 8500 bucks for the motorset, just slightly over half what I have into it. If you're considering buying an RB26 from an importer, you'll pay half that, and have zero idea of the history of the dirty, ugly motor you receive. This motor is very well documented:
