I am only going to be street driving for now so it doesn't have to have a lot of negative camber for hard cornering, but I do what to have a very good setup for all around performance.

Here is what I will have...91 240sx fastback
adjustable RUCAS
adjustable T/C Rods
K-Sport coilovers with pillowball mounts and camber plates in the front.

Does it matter how low I go with the ride heigh at to the specs I use for alignment. I am thinking everything will be the same performance wise with the same alignment specs at 2" of drop or 3" of drop.

thanks for your time,
DbD

How low of a drop and do you have any adjustable arms?

All arms except lower control arms. about 1 1.2 to 2 inches (I live in the mountains)

Have you been driving very long with these specs? I am not very good with caster specs, so i can't remember whether + or - caster makes the steering wheel return to original position and which makes it stay in place. I would like to have a semi strong return on my steering wheel. Nothing to strain muscles about, but I like letting go f the steering and and having it whip back to the straight position.

anyone else have their's installed yet?

Oh yeah I bought from trixracing on NICO

More caster means it will go back straight faster. The is more effort needed to turn but it feels good. I have only been on this set up for two days but it is soooo much better than stock I couldn't begin to explain it. The shop that did the alignment gave me the new guy (I think) so I have to take it back tomorrow to it perfect still pulls to the right a little. we'll see tomorrow how it all turns out.

id say take the trip down to diamond bar area and have an oriental shop do the alignment, more hten likely they will be familur wiht our cars... everything out here just thinks these are "camber correction kits".

I am not the happiest with the alignment shop that did mine. they seem to have gotten confused by all the adjustable arms. They are going to redo it right now though. but I don't know if they moved the traction rods and messed up my rear geometry. When I need new tires I will take it to someone that Wayne from Phase2 recommends. until then it is so much better than what I had I can't complain. When I put it on I had like -4 camber everywhere and HORRIBLE + toe in the back. Anyway good luck finding someone a little better than Plus1 (They did mine).

anybody else have different specs? I actually got them this afternoon and installed them at work.

Here is how I lowered it...
I spun the rear shock body to make the car as low as possible without reducing strut movement. I then spun the keeper all the way to the bottom and tightened it down. I then took the next keeper and spun it all the way to the bottom, and then spun it 20 full turns upward. I then lowered top keeper that makes contact with the spring all the way down to the keeper I spun up 20 turns, and tightened them up.

For the front I took the bottom Black keeper all the way off and lowered the shock body that connects to the knuckle all the way down until it was perfectly even with the actual strut. I then put the black keeper back on and tightened it up. I then did the same thing with middle two keepers...bottom one all the way down and tightened, and second one all the way down then 20 full turns up, and lowered the spring perch down to the keeper amd tightened.

Doing all of that I lowered the car about 2 1/2" - 3" and damn it looks good! I was scrapping pretty bad when I put it on the alignment rack. This was my first real alignment attempt and I think I messed it up, because it doesn't track straight.

Just thought I would share!

Is there a write up on how to install this coilover. I have the D2 which is similar to this. I would like to "try" to install this myself if the instuction are not too hard.

Thanks

Why is there always someone asking for a write up?!?! Just go do it!

The actual instal is cake, especially with air tools and a lift :) If you can take something apart and put it back together (and have some common sense) it's easy. There are 3 bolts on top of every shock/strut. On the bottom there are 2 bolts per strut up front and 1 per rear shock. Don't forget the brake lines up front. You just pop the clip and slide it out. (correct me if I'm wrong since I'm doing this off the top of my head, this is for S13 also)

Installation is just the resverse. The only different part is setting the ride height and dampening (or whatver is adjustable on the D2's)
Good Luck!
