Hi everyone, I know I'm dumb for attempting this, But I'd like to start with saying.. THIS CAR IS NOT RUNNING.
It did run this summer on the other hand. I ran this car almost all summer, a few weeks it was being fixed/upgraded parts. It did see 2 events this summer as well, never once had an issue on the track though, ran strong as hell and pulled well. I have many videos to hear it, and show it runs fine.
I'm testing waters on my s13.. Ive had this car since 2011, It's came a hell of a ways, but I'm curious what else is out there. So here goes nothing.
Its a 1991 Nissan 240sx Hatchback.
Clean title
Exterior:
-Its unpainted. Bodywork was done by my brother, who attended schooling for collision, ect, ect.
-Sitting on Rota p45r's 17x9.5 in the front, 17x9 in the rear. I have 2 extra 17x9's as well. lots of tires, tires are in fine shape, ok tread.
-New OEM front bumper, not pictured alot of the time.
-Ichiba 35mm wheel spacers(wheel rubbing issues)
-WELDED DIFF
Suspension:
-Megan Racing Coilovers w/camber plates, adjustable dampers, fully adjustable ride height, been in the car since I bought it. Ride HARD and stiff.
-Brand new inner and outter tie rods
-Brand new front lower control arms AND balljoints
-Adjustable tension rods
-Brand new lower rear ball joints
-Adjustable toe rods
-Adjustable RUCAS
Brakes: ALL brake components have <500 miles on them.
-OEM z32 brake calipers
-Hawk HPS brake pads
-Circuit Sports drilled/slotted rotors(30mm fronts)
-Enthuspec Stainless steel z32 conversion brake lines
-17/16" Master cylinder WITH brake booster(great pedal feel)
Interior:
-Stock interior (tore drivers seat, not terrible but never bugged me)
-Prosport 52mm Water Temp w/ mishimoto rad hose adapter
-Glowshift Electric Oil pressure gauge w/ sender mounted
-AEM Wideband (not installed)
-Glowshift Boost gauge (not installed)
-BOSS hub
-Avenue Performance wheel
-Aftermarket radio and Kicker speakers all around
Engine:
-1UZFE out of a 92(?) sc400, not sure the mileage(175k at the least) or year, just know it was pre '94 which DOES have the thicker rods(great for boost ;))
maintenance done: timing belt, tensioner, water pump, starter, alternator, new coil, spark plugs, wires, thermostat, rad hoses and a few other misc things.
Bottom line: motor runs HARD and strong. It pulls well and its a damn blast to drive, spins tires easily and drifts great.
Trans and Clutch:
-KA transmission w/ Circuit Sports solid trans mount
-Megan Racing short throw shifter
-Homemade mounts, they are SOLID. The vibration is un-noticeable.
-Xcessive 11lb flywheel, revs fast as hell, amazing throttle response.
-Clutchmasters fx400 clutch setup which includes KA throw out bearing, 3SGTE mr2 turbo pressure plate, and SR20DET clutch disc. (on its way currently, bought it custom from them myself to make it work with the 1uz/ka)
-ARP flywheel bolts
Swap Extra Info:
-SR20 Aluminum Rad w/ 12" electric fan
-Brett Collins Adapter plate 1uz to ka24
-Brett Collins pilot bushing adapter
-Modified extension for the throw out bearing(same as Brett Collins)
-Manifolds were modified to make work with the steering gear interference
-Custom 2.5" straight pipe exhaust to the back, random muffler thrown on to calm the rasp of the exhaust, sounds good though.
-Wiring harness was wired up by myself, ran good all year with no wiring faults or issues. it is now de-pinned and de-loomed to get rid of any excess or unnecessary wiring needed to make it run right. Also now its a plug n play harness using KA engine plugs male and female, and lower 240 harness mated to the 1uz harness.
-NO tach(needs signal adapter), NO engine temp(aftermarket anyways). It was on a push button system, changing it currently to key ignition and more "stock like"
-LS400 NEW OEM pickup tube & gasket
-LS400 oil pan front sump converted
-3/16" skid plate welded to the oil pan (safety assurance, lol)
I think I got it all, might be missing some stuff but I'll let pictures do the rest of the justice.... Thanks for looking and reading!
