Hi everyone, So.. I dont even know how to explain this but im completely lost as usual. Swapping out the old burnt out clutch on my S14 Sr20De, (Ive never swapped my S14 Turbo's clutch either) but anyways I bought a clutch online and when I went to swap it in I realized it was far too big, after doing a little research I discovered I had bought a Sr20det clutch, which is bigger than the Sr20de. So I kept it and contacted the company I ordered from, I really want a stage 2-3 by the way as I want to build this car. They told me there was indeed a difference and told me they could send me the De clutch. So it arrived today, I brought it to the garage and found that the bolts are a few mm off on the pressure plate, and the clutch disk doesnt even come close to fitting the splines of the transmission (The DET clutch fits the splines).
So I have a good amount of money invested in these clutches and I am now unsure what to do as well as a bit frustrated. I figured the most economical way for me to handle this would be to swap out the flywheel for a Sr20DET flywheel, however I am unsure if that flywheel will fit the same starter? Does anybody know if its possible for me to swap on the DET flywheel and just use the det clutch I got?! Any other pieces of advice or ideas are appreciated.
I should also mention the original clutch I pulled off has a pressure plate that is pretty scorched, but doesnt have any broken teeth and may work, However the clutch disk is absolutely destroyed and has about no friction surface even left on it.
