Ok I just recently had my car worked on because the thermostat was bad and it needed to be replaced. Well it was fine all thru the weekend but now it's starting to overheat again. I dont know why it's doing it . I checked the upper and lower rad hoses and the overflow hose (thinking it came off and when the coolant went to overflow it went everywhere). No dice. I heard about there being an air bubble in the lines? but it would have overheated well before now? and i lost a whole tank of coolant today refilled and it's still going crazy. Cracked rad? but i cant find anything on the ground..

thanks in advance :-/

any time you work on your cooling system you should bleed the air out of it when your done. You can do this by running the car, open the bleeder screw were the top radiator hose goes into the block (its right on top you can't miss it) when it's open pour some anti freeze into the radiator till just coolant comes out the bleeder. Put bleeder back in, close radiator cap and you should be done. When I changed my thermastat I had to do this 3 times for about a week after till it cleared up. Thats probably your problem, if you start your car and all of a sudden its overheating it may be something else but with my car it would just start overheating out of nowhere. If its constantly overheating it could be your water pump or worse your headgasket.
Good Luck

Also check that all the pieces of your rad. shroud are there and they are up against the radiator. I was missing the side pieces on mine for awhile and when I replaced them the problem went away.

It's been sitting out there for about 3-4 hours or so and it's lost some more fluid...i think there is a leak in the Rad. I bought some stuff to stop the leak until i can get a new rad.

Don't use it! It could clog your water passages in a worst case scenario and maybe even your thermostat. Just get it fixed soon.
