Ok, I have a 1997 Nissan 240sx that was originally an automatic that I just swapped to a manual. Trans, harness and ecu came from a 1996 donor car. Everything is good, all sensors are connected correctly except for the rear O2.
All of the tutorials say to convert the rear O2 sensor to an early 3 wire. My question is, can I not just transfer the 4 prong plug from the Auto harness to the Manual harness and add a Ground to it. That way I can run the stock O2 sensor without buying an adapter for the exhaust. The only difference is the 4 wire O2 has an additional ground. If I manually add that ground it should still function as normal, correct?
If this is possible, how would I go about wiring the 4 prong O2 to the 96 manual harness? Does anyone have pinouts for the O2 sensor and the 96 manual harness? I have searched for wiring diagrams but can't come up with individual wire descriptions for either, harness or sensor.
Thanks
