I just got another s13 coupe (:D:D:D :D i'm fucking happy :D:D:D:D) 6 months after my first one was in the hit and run accident :rl: .
Unfortunately, it needs a new clutch, and she's gonna be stock for a pretty long while, since i need her to last me through college (incoming freshman @ ucsc). so I'm thinking an organic, maybe even kevlar. I'm leaning against a 4- or 6-puck.
So i'm asking you guys for your opinions and what you're using, your application, etc. This'll help a lot. Thanks in advance, guys

act street strip clutch. light HP KAT.
should be great for stock, and allow for much more hp if you ever decide to go that route.

and she's gonna be stock for a pretty long while, since i need her to last me through college (incoming freshman @ ucsc). so
stock power, stock application, daily driving, cost effectiveness.
get a stock clutch. pressure plate, clutch, + both bearings = $140 or so. very cheap and lasts years.

i agree with aznpoopy, if the thing is stock, dont throw down 400$ on an expensive clutch, i used a kragen clutch that cost me 100$, and ive been to 5 events of clutch kicking and its still works great,

I got mine from a friend for 200, so it wasnt too much more than a stock replacement. I guess if you have to pay retail, stock replacement is fine.
I was just thinking down the line, if you ever wanted to do anything "special" with the car then planning for it now, and putting in the better clutch wouldnt be a bad idea.

ppl do lots of stuff (drift/autox whatever) on stock clutch. if you are looking for a real upgrade now, get a lightweight flywheel instead (with resurfacable/replaceable surface) and put it in while the clutch is out.

well, as for what application goes,
It won't be used for just daily driving. i plan to attend events again, AutoX, occasional sliding, and what have you. that's pretty much why i was debating whether or not to just to go stock clutch and press. plate, or go aftermarket. I guess i should mention i'd get hooked up for $200 for kevlar if i did go that route.

I got centerforce II with stillen aluminum flywheel for $350. some body was getting rid off it cause he sold the car. Check the price of the fly wheel runs about $430.72 good bargain.
Don't listen to any body. You get what you want.
Me all i have is 1990 soch motor with hks hi-power and spec stage
2 clutch and it runs a lot better and is streetable. Also got som yokohama avs.
Now i can keep up with my homboys 2001 si until we hit top end of course. :hahano:
