My cat went bad this weekend, and I am in need of replacing it. I plan on purchasing a Catco high flow one from Summit Racing.

If I buy a universal one, I would just need to get flanges welded onto it to bolt up to my aftermarket (URAS) exhaust, right?

Which length should I purchase, or does it matter? If not I'm just going to get the cheapest one which is $47.69 which is a 14 in. long, 3 in. diameter slip fit inlet and outlet, stainless steel, catalytic converter.

This is for a 93 S13, so I shouldn't have any problems with throwing a CEL either, right?

S13 has OB1,so no it most definitely shouldn't and won't throw an MIL.

I run a universal carssound cat,and my friken o2 sensor is unplugged, and mine isn't going off. (1991 FB)

I'm not sure as far as lengh goes,if you want it to have flanges that bolt in the stock location(then later you can do header) than just slide under the car before you drive it anywhere (no third degree burns are gonna be my fault, lol) and measure it..

Hope this helps,at least its a free bump:)

Yea that length is a little on the high side. You would end up cutting into your y-pipe or your exhaust to mount it. I believe you want something on the order of about a 9" body. This will leave room to weld on flanges that bolt to the y-pipe and exhaust. Definately slide under there and double check that length . . . my memory is a little rusty on that one.
