View Full Version : dizzariot's S13 & Lessons Learned

So I figured that I'd start one of these now that 'I'm back'. I bought my first S13 three years ago. It was built by a guy that owns a classic car restoration shop in Orange County. He put it together for his son and you could tell no corners were cut. The car had fresh paint, a superb SR swap, and all new interior. It was honestly a steal at $4,500 when I jumped on it. A few months later I found another forum member's car was for sale. It had Type-X aero and not much else worth while but I was too impatient to realize this and I sold my car to purchase his.

....well that car ended up being a ref ticket waiting to happen so I offloaded it onto someone that was looking to build a track car. I tried to contact the buyer of my first S13 (some young cat who had zero fucking idea what he was getting himself into) to see if he would sell it back to me. I almost begged. I offered more. The kid said he wasn't selling it...

...then he sold it to someone else. I couldn't fucking believe it. I ended up buying an S14 and completing the NaVaN aero. I grew tired of that and sold it as well. Just before I left for boot camp I bought an S13 coupe with ~70k original miles on it with a working HUD and all the OEM goodness you could ask for. I decided that this would be my 'big build' when I got back from basic training and my school afterwards. I took the car to my buddy at Final Speed Garage to get the necessary fluids changed and wouldn't you fucking know it? The guy that bought my first S13 was there getting a catalytic converter put on. We talked and he told me he bought it for LESS than I had sold it for. I guess the kid was too embarrassed to sell it back to me. Words cannot express my dismay. Words. Cannot. Express.

I ended up getting the dude's phone number and we stayed in touch and still talk to this day. While I was in training out in FL (seriously...fuck that place) I picked up an FRS. I had been on the hunt for another decent S13 since I finished basic training and hadn't seen anything. My wife thought it was time we had something with, you know, airbags or some bullshit. The idea behind the FRS was alluring and I fell for it. Hook, line, and sinker.

The FRS isn't a bad platform at all. Besides the torque dip in the mid-RPM range it was a blast to drive. Don't believe all the fancy blog features: this car is a ton of fun without a fucking turbo. I had even purchase my first set of TE37(RT)s with the FRS but it wasn't making me happy. To make matters worse the community has got to be THE shittiest community I've ever been involved in. You think cheap fuckers on here are bad? Try dealing with kids who's parents bought them their car...exclusively. The offers on my TEs were downright laughable when I decided to part the car out. I hate everyone on the forums. I got banned for telling someone who lowballed me to fuck off. Go figure.

I ended up getting stationed back in CA. Fuck. Like I really wanted to end up in the shitty state I came from. I sold the S13 coupe since my wife wanted something with, you know, airbags or some shit. I found her a nice, low-mileage 2005 Forester. I love it. Our dogs do, too. After a bunch of failed attempts to sell the FRS on the forums I ended up selling it to a local Honda dealership (of all places(. Negative equity was taken. Lessons were learned. I sold it because I found this:

http://i777.photobucket.com/albums/yy52/terranovadario/FullSizeRender_zps9ece3a90.jpg

It had R33 replicas on when I bought it and while I was waiting for my TE37Vs to be ready to ship from Australia I bought the Grid-Vs because they had decent tires and a smaller diameter. 17"s only belong on S13s with aero, in my opinion. They were never meant to be permanent. I don't condone blatant knockoffs. Anyways, my connection in Australia stopped contacting me for one reason or another and when we finally spoke again I was informed the TE37Vs were no longer available. I can't explain it but once you own a set of TEs you kind of want to keep on owning TEs until your heart explodes. Okay, not kind of, you totally want to. My second choice was waiting up in Northern CA. I had ordered FEAL 441 coilovers and they happened to show up the same at the same time my wheels did:

...and here I sit. I'm waiting for my 17" Yokohama S.Drives to sell so I can buy some 16" ones for my Watanabes. I have to do/get my fender work done, too. Depends on my schedule (military) and my ability to get my hands on a fender roller.

I wrote all of this shit because I've learned one thing throughout this whole debacle: ibe patient and do NOT settle for less. I plan on this being the ultimate restoration/mid-90's styled S13 build I'll ever accomplish. I've lost a lot of money and taken on the negative equity of a newer vehicle in the process. I've pissed my wife off numerous times. No more of that bullshit. Straight and true from now on.

I almost forgot. For anyone that may recognize my username and the first car I was talking about, you'll be happy to know I bought these back within 3 days of my owning this S13:

The future is looking good. I have some other rare-ish S13 goods I've been saving for this very moment. I'll get to those as this thing progresses. I don't aim to disappoint but at the same time I don't give a fuck. I don't go to all the circle-jerk meets and I rarely associate with others. Maybe a build thread will help me connect with like-minded folks.

I can relate to parts of your mindset going into this build. I like the theme as well. You seem to have a clean slate, look forward to what you do with it. Subbed!

Thanks for sub'ing. :2f2f:

So I guess when I swapped back to 4lug I must've bent the flimsy brake dust shield. The pads out front must also be shit because they seem to be contacting the fucking rotor at all times and I can hear it when I move the car. I love it when they stick. I took the wheel off today to see what was up but it was too dark to pull everything off. I did, however, decide to throw one of the Wats on and see what it would look like. To my fucking dismay...

:picardfp:
...the fucking things don't clear the brakes. I had a pair of 5mm spacers and I tried using one to see how much space I'd need. I don't think it's enough. Fuck my life. I was already thinking they might be a tad too aggressive in the front. I didn't want to run a severely stretched tire. Now it looks like I'm going to have to do a shitload of pulling to get the wheels to fit right. God. Dammnit.

I did the math and it came out to ~0.45in more aggressive than the 15x8+0 wheels sit. I can remember a forum member on here selling a white coupe with Wats on it. I don't recall a crazy stretch or spacers on the front wheels and now I can't find a reference. I guess this is where it gets interesting for now. Nothing ever just be straight fucking forward fuckfngdnfgksawnfsdfpunchababyinthefacekjdnfdfg.

Forgot to mention that the owner sent me the info on the car. This time I'll be sure to keep it in a safer place where my wife can't throw away my notes

There are things I plan to pull off and replace. I bought the Grid-Vs because I knew the seller and the tires were better than the ones that came with the OEM 4lug wheels. I would never give Rota my money.

So I've been talking to the illustrious Mr. Streeter again...aaaaaaand now I might get a whole new set of wheels. No, I'm not a baller. I'm just stupid. Ask my wife.

Anyways I've been slow on the updates because (due the Navy move) I have no decent tools in my garage. I need to go buy a new jack, ratchet set, and some other tools before I start the fender work and suspension parts install. If everything goes as planned I'll be installing the following parts all at once:

New Rotors
New Brake Pads
Kazama Tie Rods
FEAL 441 Coilovers
New Wheels
Yokohama S.Drives

I hate that feeling of selling a car and wanting it back!

I almost bought those Watanabes from the previous owner but the sizes are just too aggressive for what I want in a setup.

Looking forward to the progress

Yeah I was thinking the fronts would be a little too gnarly for me but I decided to get them anyway...aaaaaand then they didn't clear the S14 brakes. Again, maybe it was a sign to get what I wanted in the first place. The Wats are gorgeous, though. I'm not in too big of a rush to sell them and if my tax returns are decent I may just keep them for the rainiest of rainy days. You never know :hsdance:

Quasi-Update:

Someone, however, IS expressing interest in the wheels and if I can sell them without losing any money I might just do it.

On the flip side, I've also been talking to my little brother and I told him I'd be willing to let him make interest-free payments on the wheels if he wants to finally nut-up and get the ball rolling on his coupe. It would be nice to keep them close by...

Wow. Paid Jesse for shipping on Tuesday and my wheels show up on Thursday. From Japan. That's the first time I've ever done the 'overnight-parts-from-Japan' thing. Well, two nights but you get the idea. Took this pic since I might never be this cool again. The middle box is home to my FEAL coilovers. Props to my dogs for letting me borrow one of their beds.

Pictures to come this weekend. Tires are in at the shop and I'll have them mounted on Wednesday. If all goes as planned I'll also have my fender work done. I'll be spending the rest of the day installing the rotors/brake pads as well as throwing on my suspension and dialing everything in.

On a side note, do any of you San Diego natives know of an awesome paint shop? I've PM'd some users and searched some threads. The most recent thread listed some places that I'll be visiting soon. I prefer firsthand accounts, though.

This is my 1,000th post. Someone kiss me.

Dude. Sorry for lack of updates. A lot of stuff is in the works. Hopefully this weekend you'll see some shit. If you care. lawls.

Currently:

-Trying to get the car in at a local body shop. Front/rear bumpers, front extensions, and lower tail light trim to be painted/match to the rest of the car. My quote was pretty fair so I think I'll see if I can sneak in some other touch-ups for a little extra.

-Found some other hard-to-find goodies coming from Japan. Some other things will be acquired stateside.

UPDATE: The body shop postponed me...again...but I believe it's because of their caliber of work. The guy called and said most of the hardware holding my bumpers on just fucking snapped when they tried to remove it. They had to get new shit. There was the first delay. Then he said the bumpers were a little warped (didn't look like it to me, but I don't work in his field, you know?) and he wanted to fix them properly before painting. Now the bumpers are in paint and tomorrow they'll be color-sanding/polishing to make sure everything pops nicely. If you say some of the other cars sitting in their shop you'd have the faith I have.

I also ordered some rare, cool-points-inducing OEM Nissan parts from Japan. Can't wait!

Just picked it up from Loose Cannon Customs in Santee. Looks like they did an amazing job. I still have OC spray in my eyes from today's training but I'll try to get some better pictures. The guy (Tommy) called me everyday with updates. My initial reaction/review: there isn't a bad thing to say about them.

Hahahahaha make the change! Tires are too expensive nowadays lol.

So here are some quick pictures after I picked it up. Everything that was painted looks awesome and the pearl is spot-on. Pictures don't do it justice. I have to purchase the replacement 'stripe' from Nissan. Even though I was mildly re-flashing from the OC, I took the 5 minutes needed to swap out the clear bumper lights with the 50/50s. You can tell I need to drop it a little more. I still haven't found a fender roller to rent near me so I may just pay a local head to get it handled this weekend. I wish I had access to a fender roller...

Next on this list: RUCA so I can do my alignment and then I need to sort out a loose belt. I'm gonna shop RUCAs, but I'm leaning towards Battle Version. I'm trying to keep the parts Japanese or American for quality purposes...but like, you know, good American quality.

Tightened up my alternator belt so I could get rid of that shitty squeal. No more ear-piercing mornings. It's become apparent to me that I have an exhaust leak. I can't tell where it's at yet so I guess this is going to be my next area of operation. I want to get one of PBM's Cobra pipes to get my exhaust sitting a little bit higher since I'll be getting a new one. I think I need to cook up one more list of parts to order from Japan before I start focusing on keeping my engine cool and cleaning up the bay. I'm not overheating now or anything but I want to 'overdo' the cooling stuff since I'm all about longevity and reliability. Once the 'JDM-tizzight' parts are on I'll be doing mostly boring stuff.

...oh and these showed up today:

Just sent the payment for my last big surge of things from Japan. Stateside I need to handle the following things:

So it's been a while since I've logged on. Here's what's in the works:

Japan:
Works9 Dual Tip Exhaust or "Otsuka Wind Eardrum Breaker"
Carbing F/R Strut Bars
Koito Headlamps

Stateside:
-PBM just sold out of their Cobra Flex Downpipes...gotta wait until they get their next shipment at the end of the month.
-Battle Version RUCA are in but I need a day off to pick them up!

I just finished up a 3 week training course via the Navy. Now that I'm going back to me regular schedule I'm sure I'll be able to do things a little more routinely.

I was a little upset to be honest with you when I first read this but now I understand. I too gave up and sold my S13 because I was tired of seeing where they are all ending up these days. Very few people care to do things correctly anymore, this is why I was following your build. In my opinion it was very refreshing to see what you were going for and not another fucking #driftlifebrohooniganbroslammedbrobrobro build. Anyways I understand feeling defeated and wanting to walk away completely, but take it from me I sold my car and found out 2 weeks later that it was totaled by the dickhead I sold it to. A lot of time and money I wasted on that car just to have it #hoonibruuuuuuhhh'd into a wall.

Anyways I wish you the best with whatever you decide but I know for me I was kicking myself for selling my car and seeing what it became.

By the way you should feel special. I hate typing and this is the longest post I have ever typed I think.

Thanks man. I really mean it. I'm happy that you and the guys commenting in the FS thread (at the time of my typing this) can see what I've done and what I intend(ed) to do. This chassis isn't meant to be a full blown racecar unless you've got the coin. I am by no means wealthy, but I do try to plan and budget for the 'good stuff'. I'd rather do it right the first time and be done with it. That being said, I was going for simple and reliable. No gnarly HP and flashy aero. I want(ed) to make it a 'double-take' kind of deal: you look once and think 'Oh that's nice' but when you look again you see all the little things that are there.

If I sell this one then I'm done for good. Partly because I've done it too many times before but mainly because I don't want to see what happens to it. Part of me wants to believe that if someone pays the full asking they'd be the type of person to maintain and preserve it.

I guess I just feel selfish. Doing it the 'right way' is costly and it's not fair to my wife. We're a team, and only my half of the team has an expensive vice. If this thing goes then her 2005 Forester will shortly follow and we'll go grab a new Subaru Crosstrek XV. I'm sure I'll throw some Volks on it but it will be a brand new, reliable, warranty-covered car that her and I can enjoy.

I doubt it will sell, though. I just have to find the willpower to leave it as-is if I end up sitting on it. I'll do the maintenance, but I can't keep myself out of the FS thread and off YAJ. I'm a sucker for rare, OEM parts.

No one has been making serious offers on the car but I expected as much. I'm still moving forward with the parts that I alotted money for:

Battle Version RUCA - Purchased
Works 9, Koito Replacement Headlights - In Transit
Carbing F/R Bars - Carbing

...and now it looks like I'll be tackling the exhaust leak this upcoming Monday. I'll be trying to set time aside for new subframe bushings.

The slop in my rear end is ridiculous.

That's what she said.

I do to...but this is as close to 'growing up' as I get: put car for sale and if the right price comes along, quit cold turkey.

Can I buy it and make you keep building it anyways lol.

^YESSSSSSS^...but you have to pay me labor...so I'll essentially get the car back for free.

So I don't know who's been reading my posts closely but I picked up my 'cool thing' today: an S13 Dart Izumi exhaust.

PROS: Dart Izumi, y0.
CONS: Shitty welds on the hangers, leaks around said shitty welds, needs polish.

...I'm still dreading the subframe bushing install. Fuck. I don't want to do it again :(

I replaced subframe bushings one time......ONE FUCKING TIME.

...aaaaaand as much as I don't ever want to do this again I'm contemplating polyurethane bushings lol. I'm a glutton for punishment.

So my S14 Works9 exahust showded up and it's already on the marketplace. It seems like a shame to let it go so fast but the Dart Izumi has been taken to have the welds repaired. I'm also have this old hot-rod shop polish it out for me. I'm excited but torn between these two either way. Both will require a custom mid-pipe since the DI is only an axle-back and the Works9 is for an S14. The latter will require modification to the hangers as well. First world dilemmas, I'm sure.

http://i777.photobucket.com/albums/yy52/terranovadario/IMG_2374_zps78rjygag.jpg

My wife and I have had our talks about the car. I might take the FS thread down and ad something to my signature about the car 'always' being available for the right price. Until then there's plenty of work to be done.

Canadian manual seatbellts picked up.
PBM Cobra Flex downpipe picked up.
Subframe bushings ordered.
Carbing bars on the way from Japan finally.

Now I need to call Nissan and get new bolts for my RUCA. I always replace the nuts/bolts when I install suspension components.

Well my car is (relatively) off the market. I showed it to one guy and we talked for a long time. It was nice to see someone notice all the little things I've done thus far and have them be legitimately impressed. It's a good feeling. Since I don't do the whole 'meet' thing it's not a feeling I'm used to.

On my way home from an obnoxious fucker in a shitty FRS did a fly-by. Dirty, exhaust sounded like shit, 18x10 wheels, '86/hachiroku' stickers, and it was all on stock power. Please, tell me why you need 18x10 wheels under stock power.

Anywho, it made me happy that I don't own one anymore. I enjoyed my cruise home at 45mph. Still need those fucking subframe bushings and an alignment, though.

Hahahah which program? I actually want to use my GI Bill to do a certain BMW program. I've got a buddy that did it and the pay is awesome considering you get to work in a temperature-controlled, brick-floored, high-tech garage. Oh and you can bring your personal car in on the weekends to wrench.

Sorry for going AWOL. I get these bouts of depression where I just go to work, come home, and do fucking NOTHING.

I've accomplished a few things, though. They are as follows:

Had exhaust manifold and turbo gaskets replaced which put an end to that shitty leak. The PBM Cobra Flex downpipe also went in. I underestimated how bad it was because my car feels like it's finally alive. That's probably a testament to how much I wasn't driving it.

I installed the Battle Version RUCA and did an alignment myself. I ordered brand new hardware from Nissan so it held up the install.

I FINALLY got the accent stripes from Nissan. Putting them on was shitty because I fucking loathe applying stickers/decals. I could install coilovers faster.

Most importantly I've actually been driving the God damn thing. I've been adding photos on Instagram but I haven't taken any good ones for this thread. If your sub'd...I apologize. I plan to get my fender work done tomorrow and tweak the ride height a smidge. I also have an appointment on Monday to get a custom mid-pipe made so I can install the Dart Izumi. The one on my car was about 6.5" too short. Go fucking figure. Once I get these things done I'd like to find some awesome swaybars and finish up with the rest of Battle Version's suspension components. I need to 'clean up' the engine bay a little so I'll try to actually take pictures of that.

I finally sourced some 180SX side markers and won the bidding war on them from Japan. I got a pair for less than the Nismo Shop sells a single one for. Thank God for small favors.

Glad you decided to keep the car...what subframe bushings did you decide on?

Also subbed for badassery.

I was going to pick some PBM ones up but they've been out of stock for-fucking-EVER. In addition to underestimating the exhaust leak I also underestimated how bad my first alignment was. This was actually impacting the handling more than the subframe bushings. Now there's only a negligible amount of slop in the rear. I think I'm going to wait for a powdercoated subframe to pop up in the marketplace, buy it, press in some solid bushings, and then install it. It'll save me the hassle of removing the OEM ones.

Dude the Dart Izumi is pretty rad, though. Only Nissan guys will know what it is because it lacks ANY sort of markings but I love how obnoxious it is...sometimes lol.

Car is fine. I've been driving it to/from work regularly with no issues. I just haven't updated here because I haven't done shit lol. I stripped the tint and had some clear tint with UV protection put on. Fishbowl look without the negative side effects. Once I get new (smaller-ish...?) tires then I can dial it in better. It looks a little lame at the current ride height. Needs to be planted a little better.

I've been busy at work. Trying to negotiate orders and there are a shit ton of exercises going on. I'm thinking about getting a trailer and taking the car to Nisei Showoff in August, though.

It's been a while. Tire shop recently told me that the 205/50s I bought were actually 'not approved' by them so they had to swap them out with 205/45s or void my warranty. I got free tires out of the mix but I don't really like them. I might have to give in and get 17s. The leak in my front cover seems to be getting a tad worse. Nothing too serious but it's bugging the shit out of me.

In other news, I might be getting fucked out of the orders I want. That means I'll be going to Japan and I've been contemplating on my car. Sell it or store it. Today I just wanted to be rid of it. Everything is a fight when it comes down to nuts and bolts and I used to enjoy it. Today I just said 'fuck it' and parked it again.

-D.

* Had to edit the photo to show the ride height in the back. The front is really pissing me of since I was running out of daylight. I love Feal suspension but they need to go just a tad bit lower.

Figured I'd start this up again since winter (California, pfft) is starting. I got orders to Yokosuka and this car is up for sale. The place my wife works for is going out of business so I'll be using the Forester to commute more.

In the meantime, I'll be using my time left here to do random maintenance things and take the car an cruises I've always wanted to go on (Palomar Mountain, Julian, etc.) and spruce up some things. I'm ordering some Chase Bays power steering hoses tomorrow and calling a buddy of mine to snag the rest of the Battle Version arms I need. I also want to drop the power steering rack, replace the boots/hoses, and clean up everything.

Few being the key term, here. I wish I would've given mine more of a chance...but the money freed up to throw parts at my S13 sealed the deal. I wish I could throw the Type-X aero on before I leave for Japan but it seems fiscally irresponsible considering how affordable it will be when I'm over there.

Dude if your Dad has a GTR and is willing to duty-swap it for some STi seat-time I wouldn't worry about snagging one yourself!

Lolz we'll see. I don't really care to drive it around much on the street, honestly. The track is another story.

For the aero and stuff, I'd just get it here, unless you know that you'll be able to keep it somewhere while you're stationed in Japan and get it sent back free of charge. Otherwise, you'd probably just end up paying close to the same, if not more, after the international shipping costs.

Hahaha Just went through this wonderful thread, Absolutely love this build! I love the military humor. I just got out of the Air Force and remember the constant struggle of juggling family, work, money and cars. Its a mess. Military life degrades you for sure. But it puts food on the table and 16s on the 240. I was in Japan for two years, just got back to California in Oct. My wife and I loved it there. Seen you might be going. I think Navys different? Would you be able to take your wife? I Fucking loved it man. I bought an R33 Gtr, sold it because it was a money pit and I think the RB26 is a little overrated. :keke: Haha its a great engine, but I turned Toyota. Bought a JZX100 Chaser and learned the togue drifting ways of the mamasans. Had a blast. My wife drove the 180 to work and to get grocery's. :2f2f:

Coming back to the states, Ive been looking for a good project 240 for myself, ended up get the wife a car with airbags and auto shit. like power steering and abs.. wtf is that? Didn't realize this thread was the build of that beauty on craigs, and put two and two together until the last page! Keep it up man! I have been talking to my wife seeing if we can budget for it, but you know how they are sometimes.

Glad to see you're at least moving forward! Hope you get the parts you need in a timely fashion.

They're still not here but Chase is going to give me the discount on my order. He was super nice about it. If the products live up the the repuation then I'll for sure drop a review on here. The last ones were from three years ago lol.

Yeah man I'm headed to Yokosuka in APR16. My wife is supposed to come with me and it's gonna be a blast. I figured I'd stick with an OG two-tone Silvia K's since I know I can bring it back. I've been thinking about giving the JZX a try when I get there.

I'm on CL a lot just to look for 'rare' S13s and everything is shit. If you;ve got the cash I would suggest just shipping from another state. I got quoted to ship a car from FL for $725. That shipping price paired with the fact that most in CA are overpriced makes for a good deal.

You saw a car like mine on CL? I haven't listed it there yet lol.

I could have sworn I seen it on there! Lmao. I might be going crazy. Dude look into the C33 Laurels and A31 Cefiros. Just build a bad ass sedan. That's one thing I fell in love with being in japan. You see the Japanese go insane with sedans. Mark Xs Aristos tons and tons of awesome styles. If your going APR16 is your time OCONUS two years? I had a buddy go for a few months. Pretty sure its different because hes on a ship. I feel like we get classified. Like your navy so people probably ask you, " Do you work on a ship"? Heck you might I don't even know. Lol I know I always got asked if I fly Jets. But I Just loaded missiles. Haha

If you are on a two year duty, Find a 92/93. A good website is Goonet. They have an English verson too. Also Hit up Bookoo for your base overseas. Like a craigslist for Mil.

I'll be over there for three years on a ship. Half of that time the ship is supposed to be in the yards getting a major overhaul. Plenty of time to scour Japan. I have nothing against sedans but hey really just don't do it for me. I'm gonna stick to s-chassis cars or 70s cars.

Goo-net blows. Sometimes you can find good deals on there but its rare. Best bet is to hit Carsensor or buy from the auctions.

I wasn't really a fan of 4 doors either but they grow on you here, especially when you see them tear up the streets/tracks. I'm personally bringing back a jzx90 mark ii along with my 180.

Btw you could bring back something with a build date of Apr 94 unless you extend in which case is pushes the date back another year.

Yeah man I've watched a ton of videos but to me nothing beats watching Jesse Streeter tear up the mountain roads with his buddies in S14s, S15s, and Jesse in his 180SX. I mean I'm gonna be there for three years so I'm sure I can scoop up an awesome s-chassis as well as something a little different. Where are you stationed?

I bought a Midnight Purple Type-X without seeing it. Had it trailered to Yokosuka from Osaka. It wasn't nice at all. My IG pictures don't show it for what it really was: a fuck load of work.

Traded it in at a super small dealership and got a two-tone Silvia Qs. Factory manual, 52,XXXkms, and super clean. It's under a cover at my house while I wait for the wheels to be ready. I take it out from time to time. Might delete this thread and start another. Just not into it as much.

I might. We'll have to see what this year brings. Still trying to figure out what suspension I'm gonna use.

That car is safe and sound in military storage. It's back to stock minus the orange S15 seats. I kept the TE37Vs in my personal storage.
