...the problem is you posted in the wrong section...

I'm sorry, but your thread is about to potentially get closed, or prepare to get flamed from hell.

Anyways...:sigh:

Coming from a person that have just had 1 transmission self-destruct, receieved a 1 dud transmission, and spent $800+ for a completely rebuilt transmission from Nissan, your grinding can be anything.

Lack of fluid, quality of fluid, synchros dying, gears fucked, old tranny, old and abused tranny. There's honestly too many factors.

I recommend replacing your fluid first, as it's the cheapest. Run 2 quarts of MT-90 and 1/2 Synchromesh OR pure Amsoil. I haven't used Amsoil yet, but I do have some and plan on putting it in my new tranny when I get a break form the weather, cause I hear it's the best. I personally have ran the MT-90 and Synchromesh combo before my first trans fucked itself. It made shifting a hell a lot smoother and tolerable, despite having a sheared gear.

As a warning...please post in the tech section. I'm feeling good tonight, so I'm not in the mood to flame, but prepare your self.

Welcome to Zilvia !:)
