So unfortunately, the time has come to make an attempt to sell my e30. I recently purchased a house and need to get rid of some toys. I built this car thinking i'd never sell it, and it absolutely breaks my heart to put her up for sale. I love it to death but when weighing out priorities, its more of a toy than a necessity.
So the car is a 1986 BMW 325es. I've had it for about three years. I originally drove to Virginia to buy it when it had a boosted m20 in it. Got home, drove it 2 miles, and the rod shot out the block. For the cost of building an m20, with the not so descent power it would make, and the maintenance that came along with it, I decided to swap a ford 5.0 in it. Bought the 'kit' from e30v8.com, ended up being shit and pretty useless. Had to make my own oil pan after buying theirs, and modified the crossmember.
The car is completely functional as a daily driver, and does get driven most days of summer. Motor is out of a 1991 fox body, kept the fuel injection, has around 55k on the motor, mileage on trans is uknown, trans is a world class t5 with a ford racing clutch. The motor is pretty much stock, definitely quick and has lots of potential, cheap to make fast too. CAR HAS WORKING AIR CONDITIONING, HEAT, POWER STEERING, SPEEDOMETER ETC. Custom one piece driveshaft. Front seats are out of a 2009 x3, they're power seats and they do work. No overheating issues, car has done many long trips with no hesitation. Body is pretty clean aside from some rust on the lower front fenders, could use paint.
I really don't know what else to write, i'm so bummed about putting it up that I can't think of anything else but feel free to ask lol.
Asking price $9,000 o.b.o.
Now I know many of you will think... WTF KONAWEL?! Why are you asking so much for a 30 year old bmw????
Well, if there is anyone on here who has experience with this swap, they will tell you its not a walk through the park.. especially considering EVERYTHING WORKS!!! To my knowledge I have the most complete 302 e30, I've only seen one other one that managed to figure out the fuel injection, I've seen none with ac/heat/ps or workings speedos etc. Then after sorting out every little bit that I did, try keeping the car cool. Every single sbf e30 I have talked to has overheating issues, especially on the highway. Mine does not. And the price is definitely flexible, my loss is your gain.
