I am wondering if anyone has heard of this or knows where to get this from ...
I saw one on ebay a while ago and didnt pay much interest to it but now I have seen one in person and really want to source one for my car.

The turbo timer fits in the instrument cluster bezel in the left side in one of the button holes and has a toggle switch with a turbo symbol on it and 1min and 3min increments ...

If anyone has pictures of this item or knows where I can buy one or get one from a clip please PM any info to me .Thanks

I don't think that's OEM, just nicely integrated. There's no Nissan logo on it, and the wiring has shrink tubing on it (indicating it's been spliced together).

There are products like this available new stateside. Pivot makes one like it:

hmm ....the pivot ones look interesting ....
probably just nicely integrated like you were saying .... Nissan wouldnt want to make an OEM timer rather than selling OEM turbos in a few years when they crack

on a stock SR20DET with stock T25, there is NO NEED FOR A TURBO TIMER. That's why Nissan doesn't have an OEM one. The turbo has a water cooled center section, meaning that there is essentially no opportunity for oil coking. So what I'm saying is, if you have a stock T25, you are WASTING your money if you get a turbo timer. I've had my SR for 3.5 years now, with almost 30k miles and I've NEVER bothered to let it idle for extended periods after driving. Why? Because it doesn't do anything except make your engine hotter.

So, save your money...unless you have an aftermarket turbo with an oil-cooled center section :)

BTW, your car is hott. And the turbo in the CA is water cooled, too.

Even with a watercooled turbo, if you've been overspinning it (running higher than stock boost) it's probably a good idea to give it a few seconds to idle down.

It won't make it hotter while idling if the car's been driven hard beforehand. When I take my N/A cars on the track, if I don't let them idle for a bit, the coolant will boil in the overflow tank!

Ive yet to see a car that has a turbo timer installed on it as standard from the factory. Any make or model.

And if you shut down the car immediately you will hear the water boiling in the coolant line that runs back behind the cylinder head.

The only car ive ever had that specifically stated that there was no reason for a cool down period is my WRX.......which has a cooling system specifically designed to use convection to keep pulling water through the turbo after the engine is shut down.

......To each their own.

NO... there is a factory turbo timer in the s13. Im not sure where it came from but it is a turbo timer. Theres a 1 min and 3 min timer on it. But hat one you are looking doensat look OEM to me. Every once in a while you'll see it on ebay. I got one from a clip... but it was missing some things or the wiring was all messed up. either way, it was factory. but i ditched the whole effort for this old scholl razo piece.
