Climate control problems

I own a s13 silvia and a 180sx and both have problem with climate control. In my silvia i can't turn off the blower and it is always on heat. Only thing i can do is switch from vent to another. What could be the problem? I only use the car in summer and i unplug the blower motor but i would like to fix it.

And second problem is on my 180sx. I can control the temperature and shut off the blower but i can't change the vent it is stuck on defrost:confused: this is my winter car and i would like to be able to put heat on my feet sometime.

On the silvia, make sure the shifter/ radio bezel climate sensor is hooked up. Had the same issue with my 180, turned out that the sensor was not hooked up.

id check the cabin tube, also when my ambient temp senor went bad it just stayed on full blast full heat. have u ran the self diagnostics on it to see what codes it will show you? it'll narrow it right down for ya. hope this helps
