Last topic, tell them your thoughts of where the whole scene may be in 5-10years. Thats a good way to end the speech.

Lots of people seem to do their school papers and projects on the 240 stuff. I know its interesting to you and all but you would have probably been better off with something that actually has some concrete info rather than the, "I heard that supposedly...", stuff that you will sometimes find here.

I agree and I'd be willing to bet that there was a bevy of kids doing their school projects in similar fashion on import drag racing a couple years ago... Coupla years from now it'll be something else...
Back on-topic: You waited til the last day to ask for assistance on a topic that draws flames from people NOT trying to do something (if only at least) constructive with it... I say approach it with whatever half-assed information and shoot for a D, use the result of your procrastination as fodder for a lesson learned for next time. But for now? :Owned:

:Ownedd: do it like this....
"....and for the last part of this speech i need all the ladies in the class to stand up....." then look at your teacher and say....
"...these ho's are coming with me for a field trip....." then take the girls out to the parking lot and start putting on a drift clinic for everyone to see!!!!
make sure you tape it so the teacher can show future classes,,,,
#WARNING#...this may cause expulsion...but who cares!

I got an A on a report about the 95 suberbowl in my 10th grade honors english class from the most hardassed english teacher in my high school... I also did a report on Ernie Davis, the first black man to win the Heisman trophy at syracuse for my US history class in whatever the fuck grade I took US history. I actually went in depth with that one, being a Syracuse fan and all. Ernie Davis was at 'Cuse AFTER Jim Brown, broke ALL of Brown's records and shit, then he died from complications of Leukemia when HE go to the NFL, while Jim Brown goes on to a hall of fame career. My history teacher cried while she was reading it and gave me 100 on it. DAMN high school was a long time ago.

here i'll help you out:
historically:
http://www.atlasf1.com/99/aus/kalb.html
on that page about 1/2 down. it's a article about the drivers of old F1 racing. go to the section 'the pre-war drivers.' here's a quote:
"Nuvolari is credited with perfecting the controlled four-wheel drift, the dominant method of cornering through the early 1960s, until modern suspensions, and later down-draft technology, changed the cornering characteristics of racing machines."
2ndstage: you can some some bs about how it became a competition in itself in japan and came over. i'm sure there are plenty of BS internet articles you can quote for that. it'd be interesting to discuss how its ingrained in japanese culture and its literally a lifestyle over there.
3rdstage: talk about how its being gh3yed out in the US, b/c certain aspects of the culture here suck ass. "imma hardcore driftah J0" - but finish on a happy ending that there are ppl who are seriously into it and not for the ego - and its like a lifestyle for them too. sileightymania.com, nadine180.
