I like to plan ahead with the coilovers I'm going to buy in a few months (hopefully).

I'm interested in the Cusco Comp-2 series, more paricularly the Comp-2 over the Comp-2R's. I've read in descriptions that Comp-2R's are much more track oriented and are a bit rough on the streets. They have inverted shock bodies but I was wondering if the Comp-2's did also?

For those who have experience with these and other coilovers, please chime in. I'd like to get all the discussion I can get on coilover as high end as these. I don't want to go Apexi N1 because they seem really hardcore, but on the other hand, I have also considered the Kei Office XR or XT-a.

Also, would you guys mind telling me which companies have the best support for their products? Does Cusco have places here that can provide and/or replace shock components?

Endless/Zeal is in Socal and can rebuild coilovers the next day (so says ard josh)

Cusco can be rebuilt at Bozzspeed in the bay area.

cool. That was the thread I was looking for. I knew Cusco had a place in Cali that could rebuild.

cool. does anyone know the cost of shipping coilovers from Japan via EMS? or maybe the cheapest method?

I'm thinking hundreds of bucks...but if I could get a precise price I woudl appreciate it.

That's the EMS rate table. Not as good as a shipping calculator, but it should give you a good idea as to what you'd have to pay (assuming you know the shipping weight of the coilovers).

That's what I'm trying to find out. I have no idea how much coilovers weigh. I can't find a webpage with that kind of information.

I'd love to ride in the n1's on the street to see how they feel, cuz they LOOK awesome (all red baby).

The Kazama ones look sweet too, but i doubt anyone around norcal has 'em

OptionZero: actually, only the springs on the N1 are red. the rest of the are gold. The pillow mounts are supposed to be red... but turn bright pink after a while =(.
