quick question. I came across a great deal on some Brembo front calipers and rotors off of a WRX STi. I have read that Subaru does do some work with nissan so my quesiton is. Would Converting this setup to a s14 be like doing a z32 conversion? Any help would be appreciated. Don't post if your not possitive, looking for knowledgable people.

P.S. also im sure the hole offset might not match up, but isn't there and addapter?

caliper is a caliper it'll work if your smart enough to make it.

It's just a rotor. You could get them re-drilled for your bolt pattern.

You need to find out what the offset is on the rotor to make sure it will work with the stock suspension peices, and then you will have to get an adapter plate to position the caliper with the correct height, and offset to match the rotor using the stock upright mount.

That's it. I hope you have a friend at a machine shop. :)

I would also consider upgrading your rear calipers, and brake MC to work with the larger hardware. Otherwise your car will be too front biased, and stopping distances will increase.

If I saw WRX owners upgrading to the STi brakes with the same ease 240 owners goto the Z32 brakes then I'd think your offset and caliper is fine. You might have to drill the rotor for the bolt pattern (I don't know what the STi uses but its probably 5 lug.)

WRX owners used to upgrade to the Z32 brakes awhile back and it was basicall a bolt on iirc.

would it just be better to get the brembo kit of a 350z/g35c/r34? that way it would be so a problem drilling. Wouldnt it just bolt up?

you mean just the rotors?

It's possible. The problem is the Brembo kit's still come with an adapter plate for spacing the caliper out. And it also depends on what size rotor the sti calipers will accept.

Its been so long I don't remember what it was.

* a quick search on the nasioc forum shows 300zx pads and the rebuild kit works for the subie caliper, but no answer about the calipers being the same. They look pretty similar.

the caliper might be the same but the mounting bracket could be in a different location...
