Hey everyone,

Looking to trade my S4 wagon for something RWD, but I'll get to that in a minute. First things first, the car.

This is the day I brought it home.

When I first got the car, it was basically stock, with only a UUC short shifter and an APR 93 tune.

Now the car currently has 143k, and has been modified further, but not much. it is still very reliable and gets halfway decent mileage for a car this heavy.

Full run down of mods:
APR tune(has four files, currently on 93)
RS4 intercoolers
034 intake pipe
Darintake modded air box
034 snub mount and cage
710n diverter valves
true dual straight pipe catback
P:B5 vent boost gauge
Touareg 6 piston front calipers and 13" rotors
RS4 grille
Depo E-Codes

Overall the car is clean, just some rust at the bottom of the driver door. I am waiting on friend to hang his new doors, and I will be hanging the driver door from his S4 sedan, which is silver, so the color wont be that far off. Interior is also very clean, minus one tear in the driver outside bolster.

For the sake of this forum, I will post 10k as the sale price. This is my only car so sale is out of the question at the moment. Onto what I'm looking for.

Basically trying to get into something that is RWD. So anything goes. Swapped 240s, IS300s etc. would like a nice s13 Coupe or s14

The only requirements is that it can be daily driven without issue, has a manual transmission and is RWD. I do not want to add cash. But depending on condition of vehicle, i may ask for cash on top.

Thanks for looking.

Bump #2 I guess. Will trade for something RWD if it's reliable and can be driven daily.

Well, your car blue books at 5600 in good condition, which is a stretch considering it has rust and your modifications add no significant value. The cars that you're seeking to trade for are all in the 10-20k range, so maybe that's the issue.

True and I understand apprehension about a car like this, a lot of people aren't ready to assume the maintenance responsibility. I'm really only looking to get into something rwd and dailyable.

LOL at finding a 6MT B5 S4 Avant for $5,600. That's not even close to market value. Hell, if we're going by blue book, every S-chassis on this site is worth $1k. Oh, and all the mods done to them "add no significant value."

Well it's partially true. Shitty ones go for 4-6k all day. This one is far from shitty, however. Most of the upgrades add reliability above everything else aside from the tune and short shifter. And the exhaust. But whatever. Thanks for the defense though.

I don't know, the only $6k cars out there are crappy autos. Hell, the only B5 S4 Avant on Craigslist in CA is an auto with a blown trans and a salvage title, and he's asking $4,500. It's a rare and desirable car, don't sell yourself short.

Here's the one I'm talking about:

Yeah I guess. It is a valuable car for sure, especially considering that even though this is one of the more common colors, its still 1 of 112 cars imported to the US in this configuration.

I'd like to have this thread closed as I will be fixing a few nitpicky things here in the next couple of weeks, as well as getting some catless downpipes, custom exhaust and possibly a new tune. If after I do those things, I still am feeling RWD frisky I will post it back up.
