Would a leak at the banjo bolt on the oil feed line cause a turbo to seize?

I ask because i recently had my engine out of my car and installed ss turbo lines while it was out, but when i had everything back together and in the car the banjo bolt was leaking like crazy..... And my turbo is now seized

Would a somewhat bad leak cause that much of a lack of oil going to the turbo?

I the oil feed is fixed now and i have a new (to me) turbo and would like to not have this one seize up on me. Trying to get an idea as to why the old turbo seized

Dude, give it a rest. You're trying to determine what caused a 20yr old beat to shit turbo to seize. Age/heat/abuse, pick one and roll with it. It's not like it was a brand new GTX turbo that had idling time on it, it was an OEM T25.

I would imagine the oil leak didn't provide enough oil pressure to the turbo causing it so seize.but like jr_ss said its a 20+ year old turbo.just fix the leak and buy a new one.

I know that oil starvation will kill a turbo. I was just wanting to know if a leak at the feed on the block would actually cause THAT MUCH of a loss of oil pressure to the turbo. Resulting in lack of correct amount of lubrication.

I have a new turbo and the leak has been fixed. Ill be installing the turbo on my day off this week and am trying to avoid fucking this one up.

I like asking questions even if I think i know the correct answer.
