So I am rebuilding an engine harness. I have always went the route of splicing sections of oem shielded wiring into my harness. I am wondering if anyone has a source for single conductor shielded wire?
Another alternative I have been thinking about is this....
In school I learned that you can twist signal wire with signal return wire and that would cancel any signal being induced into the wire, hence shielding the wire. Would that be sufficient in place of the oem shielding(tps, cas, and maf on sr20det) I have also thought of taking that one step further and wrapping a third wire(around the signal and return), and then grounding one end of that ground near the ecu, leaving the end at sensor connector open. does anyone see anything wrong with this as an alternative to the oem shielding?
thanks in advance.
