I recently bought my S14 and it had 30mm Z32 Aluminum calipers on the front already. Im in the middle of installing z32 rear brakes and decided I would take all four calipers and paint them.
Well, after painting them, I noticed this....
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/brianglawson/1997%20Nissan%20Silvia/badbrake.jpg (http://s12.photobucket.com/user/brianglawson/media/1997%20Nissan%20Silvia/badbrake.jpg.html)
This is the fitting that screws into the back of the caliper, which then allows the Stainless brake lines to attach.
I know the threads going into the caliper are M10x1.0 and that end obviously has an inverted flare. Are the male threads on the other side (the side that im holding with my finger) also M10x1.0 or would they be -3AN or -4AN???
I haven't found anything like it at the local parts stores, it doesn't help that the employees there don't even know where to begin to look... idiots.. "who made a 300zx??"
Anyway.. I can't believe the previous owner tightened it so much that this happened...

EARL's will have that. www.earlsindy.com if you use a 1/2 wrench its -3AN and if you use a 9/16 wrench on the brake line its a -4AN. USUALLY brake lines are -3AN. So call earls and ask Mark for a -#AN to M10x1.0 steel adapter.

Does it matter that the caliper end of my fitting has that inverted opening?

The inverted flare is what seals under pressure. There is a corresponding male flare in the caliper. Like the bmc.

So whatever I get needs to be a #AN to male inverted m10x1

Can I ask why you even need this fitting? 300zx calipers have a female inlet, and the conversion lines are male.

Apparently these are Circuit Sports lines... I tried emailing them, but no response yet

I like the idea of not having to unscrew lines from the caliper when servicing them so I'd like to continue to use this type of line.
If I cant find anything, I guess ill have to find new lines. Im dying to drive my car

Taking a gamble, thankful for Amazon prime at the moment

I ordered those, it is an M10x1.0 to -3AN Inverted Flare fitting. Hopefully this is right.
I would like to have this type of setup with Aluminum calipers anyway. This way, every time I take the lines off of the caliper, I don't have to disturb the threads in the actual caliper

And... I just found these... now these "LOOK" right.

I did find out for sure that circuit sports uses 3AN
SOoo.. The ones in the link above are inverted flare M10x1.0 to 3AN
The ones I ordered are supposed to be the same. Hopefully, they are and there aren't different types of inverted flares.

I bought the Russel 641431 From Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0014B9JN8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Now, the flare on the Russel isn't quite as large as the ones that came with the brake lines or the ones from Pegasus, But as far as I can tell, it will work just fine. It threads in on both ends, and it has an inverted flare, sooo I don't see it being a problem. I'll post some pictures tonight or in the a.m. comparing them.
