i was just gonna throw the idea out and see how many people from AL and surrounding areas would be up for a little meet/comp in the birmingham area, if there is alot of interest i may try to set somthing up, because i have not seen anyone yet around birmingham that even knows what drifting is, so let me know ..... thanks, Spenser

yeah i had thought about trying to do something like that in my area a while back also. i just couldn't find enough people interested. didn't want to go through all the stress of organizing the event and then not even being able to pay off the rental fee b/c of poor attendance. if birmingham were closer to me i would say i would definitely go, but 3.5 hours is kind of far to go since my car could break while i was down there and i would be screwed.

I know of atleast 6-10 cars here in the area who would be interested, mostly 240sx and a couple 86's

i think instead of a competition, maybe a clinic or something along those lines

Teamslideshow-
I am here at Fort Rucker and know of at least 3-6 cars that would be interested depending on when the event was taking place. I definitely would be if it fell on a weekend I was home. I leave for GA. in 2 weeks but will be back on some weekends. I plan on looking up some shops while in GA. (Augusta area) to see if anything is planned for that area besides Nopi in Sept. Also just in case you didn't know, we autocross here at Fort Rucker on the 2nd sunday of every month. at Hunt Stage Field, if interested send me an email and I will give you the details. ---Ed

A few friends and I from 240sx.net in FL are planning on making a trip to South TN soon. If you guys are gonna have an event that's not too far we can try to aim for it. I don't really know the Al area too well but I know it's on the way, or beside the way at least. We're planning on having at least 4 people riding up there. Not many but better than none. We also might be able to get some people from drift411.com to come. Let me know if you guys have a date in mind.
