Hey guys, I really don't know much about car but I'm looking to start. To give a little background about myself I'm 19 and in Vegas. My first car was a RSX-S and I loved the shit out of the car. Unfortunately I couldn't afford to keep it at the time and had to sell it. I got a 2013 Elantra  for low monthly payments. Now I just got this 240sx for $1500. Stripped out the interior, etc.

TLDR: what concerns me is the rear of the car seems to have been hit by something. Here's how the damage looks

Thanks for helping a noob out, I haven't had the slightest clue what the proper procedure would be. I cant really get the bumper support in properly due to this damage and want the car to look flush

Any and all input appreciated

Any ideas to get the crease out of the bumper support rail to put the bumper support back on?

You'll probably need to take it off and modify it for fitment..if posiible. No telling how bad its bent until you remove it and ascess the extent of damage. You could probably fix it but it might take some work. Also the damage to the actual bumper seems like it would be pretty bad. Well as Long as its not hanging on the ground you're good to go :)

Yea dont stress the little things. Just focus on your motor the most. As long as it runs good and drives you"ll have fun with it. The cosmetic things should be last concern. I have dents and paint chipping off all over my car. Nothing a new body kit and paint job wont fix in the future :) Also if you're new into 240's keep checking craigslist for parts if you need them. I've seen people sell those bumper reinforcements all the time. Usually because they are unwilling to have it modified to put on an aftermarket body kit. Usually its the front because of the intercooler. I have mine in the garage but plan on doing something to get it back on. It is a safety feature you shouldnt take off your car. Looks like yours saved the gas tank and trunk.
