What I think is funny, is the fact that it takes some time to read a thread, and then make a post, whether that post is informative or not.

Now take a step back and realize that practically every question has been asked since the beginning of the internet. And these people still come onto forums? Just to post about how you've already seen the post in the past? Somehow, that is worse to me than posting a bit of helpful info.

A bot needs to start auto posting "not this shit again" after every new post to save all of these folks the time and trouble and they need to destroy their computers and possibly go outside for some air.

Dear thread starter: If you are even considering an LSx swap you must have some level of technical savvy applicable, and therefore, always choose the engine with the largest displacement you can afford to fit into your vehicle provided parts/tools/knowledges are available for you to maintain it, provided that engine meets the same criterion as your other options (reliability / ease of access / economy / whatever else is important to you)

OTOH if you have NO technical savvy then you do NOT want an engine that will require constant maintenance, fabrication, and possibly removal/re-installation frequently.

Take a LOT of time and read in depth about the difficulty of each swap and make a parts list for each one. Once you have done that you should take out the price of the motor/trans wand double the total of all other parts. That should be you ideal budget. After doing all that sit your options side by side and weigh the pros and cons you found from researching. Now for drifitng you will obviously want a motor that will be happy in the higher rpm range, so you should try to do as much research on people who have done the swaps with the intent of drifting. Gather what they have learned and how they like the engine setup for drift.

Cost to import a skyline: 12000$

Cost of a 240sx in good condition...$2500

Cost of an RB Swap: $6000

Cost of having a car that was designed to have an RB in its engine bay: PRICELESS

hopefully your world didn't implode because it no longer makes sense to do a swap since you can buy actual cars that have the motor in them
