Digital cluster subharness?

I was wondering if a digital cluster sub-harness is the same for Sohc and Dohc digital cluster??
I was told that they are the same, that any sub harness from any digital cluster will fit either a Sohc or a Dohc digital cluster.
I'm just trying to confirm it. Let me know thanks
