Does anyone know what brushes I can use for my SR20 starter? The whole motor and solenoid is clean and in good shape, it's just the brushes wore down.
Not even to be cheap, but because it seems stupid to be wasteful, otherwise for $5-20 I can replace the brushes over buying a $160 unit from ISIS. I just need to figure out the proper part for the correct brushes
Any ideas?

Matt I see you've been a member for a while so I'm hoping you searched around for the answer. I read an article a while back in which you can use the guts from a ka starter but it had to be a certain brand. Like hitachi or whatever.

Found them. Spent at least two hours of non stop research trying to find the right brushes. These are it.
Mishimoto Starter $180. Rebuilding the stock SR starter. $20. perfect.
