I was wondering how to get the horn to work since on a HICAS car, there are no horn contact pins when you take the stock wheel off; theres only the HICAS wheel sensor. I searched all the s-chassis forums on google but no one had a solid answer. Maybe some of you already know it but it's probably not widespread knowledge (or I really suck at using google search ).

It's a bit ghetto I'm not gonna deny that. However, do note that I have the hicas deleted from my car. I swapped a subframe. If you do this while you still have the hicas subframe in, I cannot guarantee it will be safe since you must remove the HICAS wheel sensor. If anyone has something to add to it please do so below.

Here goes:

I will skip steps to remove the steering wheel since that should be pretty straight forward.

Remove the hicas wheel angle sensor. Cut off the plug on it and throw the rest into the garbage.

Looking at the plug that was connected to the wheel angle sensor, the green white-stripe wire from the car's harness is the horn. Now take the plug I told you to cut off from the wheel angle sensor and the yellow is the corresponding wire. Cut off or remove every wire from the plug that you cut from the angle sensor EXCEPT the yellow one. That is the wire that corresponds to the green white-stripe horn wire.

Now either solder or crimp a long piece of wire to the yellow wire. Attach a female connector to the end of the wire and leave it for now.

Next part is a bit ghetto but it works. Get a strip of flexible metal and cut out a long strip. I used a fucking campbell's soup can so you can use whatever you want. It would be a good idea to cut the strip of metal so you can use it as a male connector to attach to the horn wire.

Punch a hole and screw the metal strip to one of the screw holes. Make sure you bend the strip so it is shaped like a capital omega like this "Ω". This way it can contact the back of the short hub to conduct the current.

All thats left is put your short hub on and use another piece of wire to test the connection.

If it beeps then you were successful. If not, go back and check.

That's it. Enjoy honking all those shitty drivers.
