89 240sx no fuel issue

So i bought an 89 240sx240sx about a month ago off a friend that ive been fixing. A few days ago i was getting fuel and now when i try and turn it over im getting nothing. We dropped the fuel tank and my friend ripped the white wire the one closest to the ground.could that possibly be the reason why im getting no fuel or could it be that i burnt out my fuel pump?

not trying to be a dick but lets use common electrical knowledge when trying to fix things that are electric.

theres two questions your should ask yourself.

#1 is it getting power?
#2 is it grounded properly?

another question you can ask yourself if one and two are not enough to fix it.

#3 is it getting enough volts?

be smart. think through this. visualize the path of the electricity.

And im not the master of fuel tanks but on my 93 and my 95 i accessed my pumps threw the trunk instead of dropping the tank.

Nah no offense taken. And i was siphoning out old gas so thats why i dropped it(car sat for a year). And ive never messed around with gas tanks so thats why im asking so i dont assume ik how its wired

Also so ik wether the fuel pump just happened to go bad or if its just not getting a signal
