So ever since I swapped in my built motor my powersteering has never worked. It never made any whining or weird noises nor has it ever leaked. You can see fluid moving in the resovior. On my stock sr20 it worked perfectly fine. Mind you this is the same pump and rack. Only thing that changed was I put in an aftermarket high pressure line. So today I swapped in a spare ka pump I had laying around and it will work fine for a few short turns then get difficult again. I'm just sort of confused why it intermittently works. Any thoughts? Just another faulty pump? High pressure line issue?

Here's the short video showing how it'll be okay for a second or two

Did you bleed the power steering system yet?

Any ideas? I'm at a loss. Short of replacing pump, rack, and Hp line...

I pulled the valve out of the pump and had a piece of something inside it that was stopping the flow of fluid.

Cleaned it up, reinstalled, and voila.

Yeah I pulled the relief valve out and cleaned it when I swapped pumps. Everything is clean and normal
