Im trying to find a little first hand info about wrist pins. Im basically trying to see if anyone has broken there standard sized wrist pins. I have CP pistons with there standard size wrist pins and places like mazworx act like they are only rated at for 500 hp. Im already at 500 and looking to upgrade to around 650.
I have never heard of anyone braking these wrist pins and I want to see if any of the high hp guys on here are still running them without issue.

I would think the small end of the rod would fail before the wrist pin on CP pistons. I'm running the same pistons with eagle rods and have no problems so far but I'm not near the HP you are at yet though.

Bearings an con rods fail way before pins do...if you really want to know send your pin out to get pressure tested similar to what they do with concrete

There are plenty of things tha can fail before the pins do but thats not always the case. My motor is together and running so im not going to tear it down and spend money to have them tested. Im looking for people that have actual experience running either pins.
