i learned many things such as the different suspension setups i can drive with or just how to take a turn faster. i've been playing this game since since it's release on june 2001. it's been 3 years already and i'm still not bored with the game. how about you guys??

I learned a few things bout suspension set-up. Nothing I can put to use since I'm still rolling on the stock suspension. But I'm bored of it just because all the races I have left take hours to complete. I'm pumped for GT4 to come out though.

get any car with a lot of power, i chose the escudo, and equip it with cheap tires. set your controls so that the acceleration is controlled by the right analog stick pushing to the left. start the race and pick auto trans of course. ride the car along the outer wall. pause it. get a small rubber band to pull the two analog sticks together so that the left is pulled to the right and vice versa. unpause and you got yourself a ghetto autopilot for the rest of the race along with an automatic win.

i know laguna seca like the back of my hand!
I learned a lot about suspension tuning. Everything i learned in the game i apply to my car, and it works every time. it's the best game i've ever played, and the game i've spent the most hours on.

i've learned a lot about racing lines. I only beat like 50% of the game...after that i got bored and started tuning all my FR cars for drift....i've got an s14 k's, an s13 silvia with the CA, a 180sx, an AE86, an FC...which is actually my favorite car to drift in the game, I spent the most time with its suspension set up and everything...it rocks! I've got a bunch more, but those are the main ones i use.
The only other car i want that i dont have is the chaser! Anyway its an awesome game! Cant wait for GT4!

I've learned that if you crash, your car suffers no mechanical (or visual) damages. I tried it in real life and... I was disapointed.
gotta wait for GT4 so we can make a room online and battle!

I don't see how that is better than playing normal? and playing it with automatic transmission? Its so much more fun and a challenge to play with manual.

Fave cars: Calibra mmm... , zzII, 787b. I think it is called the Calibra?? I know it revs to the sky and sounds like a F16 on afterburn. I think it is an Opel with about 550hp, I cant remember... Does anyone know the one I am talking about?

compare with the GT astra is like try to compare a nascar lumina with a real lumina.... is complitly another car, is a tubular thing with the shape of a astra O_O

This is very true. I didnt think it would be but it is. I have the logitech steering wheel and it is harder with the wheel than it is with the controller. You'd think it'd be the other way around, but its not.

Just for kicks - I learned that computer opponents do a much better job of keeping you in the course than the wall, grass, or dirt. muhahahha the best! :D:D:D

it gets tiring racing that over and over to get some quick cash or a car to sell.

yas i do use a ps2 controller. Using a steering wheel may seem realistic, but the GT3 game is currently setup for steering wheels that have 180 degrees of travel. Not fun IMO. The up and comming GT4 will come setup where we can use Logitechs new steering wheel which has a full 2 and half turns(900 degrees) much like a real car. Should be interesting. I cant wait!!

by doing that, you can watch tv or do something else, then you come back 45 minutes later and you have 50,000 credits or whatever, i forget the actual #, and another car. then you can either keep the car or sell it. bascially, the trick lets you win w/o playing
