Hey guys, I'm new to the S-chassis my name is Dave and I recently picked up a white 91' ka-dohc coupe and I am seeing why everyone likes these cars :) Long story short, the car needs quite a lot of work and I want literally everything on the car to be touched on and improved, and as with every car I get I jump straight into maintenance and suspension. To start, I got the car for a steal with a silvia front end, got rid of that because I like pop-ups more :fawkd: and the car ran like total shit due to a failed egr delete, vacuum leaks, no back pressure from a 3inch straight pipe fart can, bad power steering pump, tie rods, and I was told bad balljoints (it clicks around a lot as I turn) and axles? Well either way, I want to change EVERYTHING on the car lol, or as much as I can. During the current moment, I just picked up a set of K-sport coilovers to replace the agx/megan shock/springs and some advan sar3's. Ditched the fart pipe for a stock exhaust, wayyyy better, the car now breathes properly lol. Also been playing with the manifold/vacuum lines and did all the usually maintenance, oil, plugs, filters, etc. Would you fine ladies and gentlemen help give your 2 cents? My goal is to have a reliable 240sx, I'm not trying to drift much nor run crazy numbers, just straight up amazing handling and reliability with spirited driving.

My plan at the moment is to try to get the following upgrades: (with a mind budget of $1000)
- Prothane Master Bushing Kit (They include more things than the energy kit and they are not too different, same quality) For the price I dig it, but I know these are not near sphericals or anything of a higher quality, but it's a good cheap start for destroyed 20 year old rubber ones.

- Now I don't know if I should get subframe spacers to go along with the bushings included here ^ or just get solids. Could use some guidance here.
- New Balljoints! There are 4 right? F + R LCA's? Going with Moog

- New Axles: Hmmm... not sure if I should go to autozone and get lifetime warranty ones or use remanufactured oem/a1 cardone ones.
- Adjustable Arms, Tie Rods, Tension Rods, Toe Rods, Traction Rods, still doing research on these, McPherson is new to me haha. Need to do more research
- Isis SS Auto - Manual Clutch Line: car used to be auto
- J30 VLSD like I said, not trying to drift much but I might possibly go 5 lug down the road
Other than that I just plan to upgrade things as I go, such as radiator, master cylinder, Q45 front brake upgrade, motor mounts, etc. BUTTTTTTT. Let me know what ya'll think from your experiences as 240 owners if this sounds like I'm going in the right direction. Thanks ^_^

Really no point in new axles.
I wouldn't waste money on a 15+ year old j30 diff. 75% of them are unreliable.
If you're not going to track much, I would go more for comfort than stiffness. I wouldn't waste time w/ the subframe collars.
