Ok I bought a 1991 s13 hatch about 2 weeks ago. The engine idles around 1100 when warm and has a pretty heavy shake to it almost like it's cammed. We adjusted the distributer with a timing gun and it helped a little. I know the timing needs a little more fine tuning. I also replaced the spark plugs and added new wires. The engine also has an oem rebuild with about 25000 miles on it.

I was also thinking maybe clean the maf and tps sensor but idk if that would help. Also there is no hesitation and revs and drives well. I've never worked on a ka before so I'm fairly new to them

Pull wires one by one with engine running.
If you pull one and it gets worse, replug
Pull another, if it stays the same, you've found the cyl that is acting up.
Check injector (and o rings)
Does this plug look different than the others?
Also looking at maf and vacuum leaks is never a bad idea

I would guess bad injector if the engine is jumping around. 1100rpm idle is odd though. Checking injectors is easy, grab a multimeter and check the resistance of every injector. They should be around 10 ohms each. If you're confused with how to use a multimeter, Google. Every car enthusiast should know how to use one.
Spend the extra $20 and do distributor cap and rotor while you're doing ignition maintenance. It might be worth pulling codes from your ECU as well. Try searching next time, here's a thread that may help. http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=452158

Ok now it's not so much the emgine shaking anymore but my idle is at like 1300 to 1600 now and when I Rev the engine it goes up slow. I've never seen anything like this before. Could it be the iacv

sounding more and more like a vacuum leak

Ok so I've been driving the car and I noticed once it's warmed up and I'm off the highway and it's idling around 1100 to 1200 now and no shake at all and every once and a while it will go to 900 and up to 1700. But the car drives and accelerates fine. Should I check for vacuum leaks or could it be the IACV
