been searching for ventless oem looking conversion fenders, and i have come across 3.

chaser aero, VSaero, and Duraflex.

anyone have any experience with these fenders or brand?

i will consider welding s14 to s13, but that would be my last option.

thanks guys

I'd personally look at something like the B Magic s13.4 fenders. Only reason I'd go with duraflex or chaser, is if I didn't give a F$&# about fitment. I know they have vents, but the fitment will be MUCH better.

hmmm, i can always fiberglass over the vent to give it that oem look.

^^^^^^^^^just stumbled across that on google.

looks great. i already know it will cost less than oem, and it will save me the hours of welding, measuring, bondo etc.

just hope i get a good mold of fenders, cause we all know, B Magic is a hit or miss

If you think fiberglassing over the vent then smoothing out the entire fender to prep for paint will save time vs. some metal fabrication you're in for a treat! LOL.

^^^bondo and fiberglass to me, is less labor extensive as oppose to welding. you always have to worry about warping the metal, then hammer back in place.

Don't get duraflex. My passenger fender lines up everywhere if I don't mount the bottom by the door. The driver fender doesn't match shit.
I bought them so I didn't have to fill the vents. Wasn't worth it.

i had b-magic and they were decent. i'd say 8 out of 10 quality and fitment.

You make it sound as simple as just slapping them on... which I'm sure it's not.

S14 fenders do "bolt on" to the s13, but the fitment near the door is terrible... sits out about 1 inch away from where the fender should go

Interesting. I never knew that... Do you mean the gap at the door sticks out so much because the s14 fender is like an inch wider? So its almost like having a widebody fender with a rear facing vent like Koguchi Power fenders?

^^^I know, right? Seriously calling BS on that one. I think if S14 fenders bolt-on even remotely decently, you figure we'd see more of that being done & less frp fenders. I wanna see what the fenders on that Zenki faced S13 looks like from the rear...

S14 n s15 oem fenders actually do bolt on better then 90% of the frp conversion fenders made to "fit the door gaps properly". Only problem is obviously the back halfs dont fit like a glove. But if you dont want to "weld" and still use oem ones, like for example before i did my s13.5 welded metals, i just tried to mock the oem s15 fenders on just too see how they fit... To my amazement they fit great except for the bottom portion of the fender wouldnt allow the door to close and door gap was fine too (the top part thats tight under your door mirrors had this mini gap but it wasnt too knowticeable. Simply cause s13 n s15 doors are different shaped) So if you were lazy, you just saw off a bit of the bottom to allow door clearance and then use a side skirt to hide your cut LOL. Idk if the s14 bottom portions are similiar like s15 ones where you can macguyver lazy cut it too... In the end just weld if you wanna stay metal.
If not, ait racing ones aka b-magic are prolly the "best" ones on market right now even though fitment is hit or miss on them. I bought the ait ones before i sold my s13.4 front. Let me tell you, they are WIDE as fuck and mine even had a missing mounting tab on the driver side one. So if you were gonna fiberglass the vents off to make it ventless... It still gonna pop out like 30mm outward from your door, so you better have rear widebody fenders ready to go along wit it.
My car pretty much has been thru every generation s-chassis front end conversion lol. Only one i havent tried yet would be non s-chasis ones like r32, odyvia, etc.

If you have the resources, welding is the way to go. I pretty much had to teach myself TIG welding on some scrap fender metal until I finally was able to not fuck shit up. Slowly but surely, my S13.5 OEM conversion fenders are nearing completion...

Having my friend do most of the work since he has more experience, but I've laid down some beads as well, definitely a nice skill to have.
