I have no idea what company your with, buuuuut....

You should make one for the 89-90 fastback (if possible) since the other companies versions don't work. If were all talking about the same pillar bar...

well pillar bars only apply to fastbacks, and they were not produced in 94. Also the 89-90 model can use the cpillar bars but u need to obtain the 90 SE+ seatbelt brackets. Or u can go to a steel shop pay 20 bucks for some high grade thick steel tubing smash the ends and drill them. Ive already started a few threads regarding cpillar bars and home made pillar bars, and they are awsome. I didnt pay a dime for my bar cuz i had extra lying around the garage and its way stiffer then Touge factory and aerodynes pillar bar and dosent cost 100 bucks

i built one out of tubing from orchard . I will take pics of them. I bent the ends ..the thing is very solid. you can probably tow the car from it, and it would probably work as a harness bar too.

I'm looking more into some form of A-Pillar bar... ;)

Nah... just kidding.

But seriously now, does is really add any structural integrity or it's just another bling part for our cars?

edit: opening thread back up. Originally closed as it seemed like a commercial seller doing some fishing. If any of that arises, it'll be locked.

Hey Jason...the thread is re-opened. My sister is in LA and she has the camera. Would you be able to take pics and show these guys how easy it is to do?

can i use any tubing? what size and material did yall guys make it out of? so i just squash the ends flat with a hammer and drill matching holes?

The tubing i used is galvanized steel. 1 1/4 inch outside diameter with a 1/8 inch wall. It's pretty strong. Used a vice to crush the outside ends(took a lotta force cause this size tubing is friggin overkill), then bent them so they sit flush against the pillar. This will be way stronger than using brackets. The bar sits flush on the pillar and is bent so the holes lines up with the holes on the pillar, so you can tighten down the bolts all the way, rather than getting extended bolts. It's strong enough that i would feel confident hanging from it and it probably wouldnt bend. You can use thinner tubing if you want, but i'd rather have a smaller diameter tube with thicker wall. I think Phrozen has thicker diameter with thinner wall. I'll try to get a digi-cam from a friend and take pics.
