i'm pretty sure the VLSD comes from a 300zx....and some lsd equipped 240's. And yes they're in america

this topic has being beaten to death dude.

yes the 300zx has the vlsd, there is, however, a difference in gear ratios on N/A and TT models, also theres j30 infiniti vlsd, and optional vlsd for 240sx from the factory. and yes depending on the VLSD's shaft patern you need new output shafts, for 300zx you do for sure.

only drop in would be optional factory lsd for 240sx, it wont require any shafts, bolt up instead of your open differencial.

Silvia K's came with a VLSD. I got mine from a Silvia, and my friend got his vlsd from a usdm hicus model. Also, I thought the 300zx's were mechanical.

More then just factory optional 240sx LSD will drop in. Check out the Archives and FAQ section. The J30 is another drop in option, as are a couple others.

<this is S13silviagirl> again, mrmeph can't be logged out for some reason....

There is a different drive shaft for the Hicas model VLSD. The drive shaft is shorter to allot for the VLSD. A stock diff has a longer shaft. I wouldnt reccomend using the stock shaft. No bueno.
