I doing a S14det into my Datsun Roadster. The will do some AutoX,street hill climbs, few track days and 3/4 time street driving.

What lighter flywheel(weight) do you recommend? I know the old saying to keep the stock flywheel in a turbo engine. Would like a little feed back please.
I have run light flywheels on NA cars and one turbo car. My feeling is lighter is always better. But all the cars have been over 3300 pounds. Not dealt with a light car and a turbo.

The stock S14det HP numbers are 220hp on 7psi. If I was looking for 250-275hp. What would need to be changed?

Yes I know raising the boost will add HP. What I would like to know, what size injectors, what boost psi, fuel pressure regulator, size of MAF would best and so on.

Thanks

I've got a 9.2lb flywheel on my sr and I like it.
For 275 hp on the cheap, you would probably be fine with:
Safc
440/480cc injectors
N60 maf
Boost controller

A guy I know made 263 whp at 9psi with a t28 bb, s15 injectors, and nistune but I think the dyno also plays a big part in the number

Edit: probly need a fuel pump too. Walbro 255 and stock fpr gives you close to stock fuel pressure

Thanks for the info!
I'm ok with spending money. Just no need to go nuts. Prefer keeping the stock S14 turbo.

So far reading more and the new info
550cc injectors
300z MAF N80
3" exhaust with a straight through muffler
Fuel pressure regulator
Safc
Wide band O2
boost controler
Walbro 255

How much HP can the stock S14 turbo produce with longevity in mind?

Anything else?

I'm making a little over 300 wheel on the s14 turbo with poncams. Please search though, this topic has been covered 20x over.
