Acura says the RSX type S is fast but its not they the best i have ever seen them run was a 15.6 in a magazine and when you watch people run the car at the track they are not even hitting in the 15's they are hitting low 16's in the 1/4.  So if you want a fast Acura get a Integra GSR or Type R, its the only way to go if you want a honda.

It looks good to me...both numbers and appearance-wise.  But I'd actually have to drive one to really see what I think about it.  If it means anything, SCC clocked it 7.1s 0-60, but they didn't do a 1/4 mile:confused:.  For now, I'll just stick with what jd said...the GS-R or ITR as far as my favorite Acuras go.

My the guy who sold my brother his 97 GSR said that he drove a RSX Type S and he said that his old car, which is now my brothers car will kill the RSX Type S, and my brother only has a header, intake, and exhaust.

I don't like the looks of that car. Performance-wise: papers look good. I'd say the ONLY attractive thing about it is the 6-speed gearbox.

I agree with you S13grl.  They don't look attractive enough for a Acura...They made it look slow, but still there fast...a light car that has more than 200 hp, ####!

They need that engine and tranny in the old body-style integra.

From ITR owners, I've heard the RSX could be develped a bit more.  They are all waiting for an R variant.  As for looks - I just can't get the Paseo out of my head (after the restyle).

what's sad is that they got rid of the integra and brought in this because the integra did't fit into the line of luxury-sport that Acura is known ofr w/ their larger cars.  Now they just have a car that isn't as appealing and not all that fast.

I also heard there is something wrong with the syncros and that people have blown engines by down-shifting  to low??  To me that just says THEY can't drive but still I've heard this complaint.

sigh, 200hp means shiz, its all about torque
that 200 juz comes from the high end vtec they slap onto every car nowadays, i mean the si has like 110 lbs of torque
WEAK!
haha and everyone here's talking about the ka24's torque vs the sr20's, both still got more than a civic

it's weird, they call a rsx type r a integra type r in japan. I read some articles about the rsx type r, which is supposely coming to us soon, and it's got ok performance plus maybe a factory mugen bodykit.

the reason they changed the name to the rsx was because acura has changed all their cars to letter's...integra was the only car they had in their line that still had a word for a name

theyre trying to go all upscale with the naming like bmw and benz.  as if nobody can tell that the 1.7el is just a civic...

I'm not a fan of it, like vancouver said, it reminds me of an echo.   From what i've read, the type s only has 140-something in torque (between 140 - 150 lbs).  That seems awful low for a 200hp car, like mingming said, the 200 would be alot lower if not for the vtec.
don't get me wrong, vtec is nice, but it makes the stats on hondas look alot nice than they actually are.

The real crime, is that they discontinued the prelude, and turned the integra into the RSX at the same time.  I like both of them, and i don't like the RSX (of course if i drive one i may change my mind).
