Buying a used car from craigslist out of state. I understand that when the seller wants the funds wired, that is a red flag because you can't get the money back if something happens and usually they want it wired before hand? From my research online, I should be walking away because of that. But say it is wired after you've driven the car, is that okay? I prefer a check but the guy wants it wired. I guess the form of payment doesn't matter if it's after you've driven the car. Everything seems to be okay with this seller and his story except the fact that he only wants the money wired. I'm just a noob about this. Anyone with experience want to chime in?

if you can have it written up and signed by him saying that your transfering money to his account for purchase of said vehicle i think itd be okay ?? anyone got more insight to that??
if you like the car and have seen it in person why cant you just give him straight up cash and drive off
if you've met with the guy in person and driven the car just pay him in cash...

Cash or Cashier's Check is the only way I would ever let someone purchase a car from me. Never wire money unless you are standing next to them as you wire the cash, or you already have the car.

I will be with him and the car. We will write a bill of sale with both signatures. Thanks.
