Everything Came Today !

Sweet.. Right when I thought picking up the rb26 clip made my day, here comes the UPS guy with my Rims. The 26 is pretty clean, its got 77,432 kilometers, they fuckers took the calipers though :( . Its cool though, I'll just get some stoptechs from work. I also got my wheels in, They are manaray 17x8.5 in the front with a 2.75"lip and 17x9.5 in the back with a 3.75"lip. I just got back from a tire store, I managed to get them to mount some 275 40 17's on the backs to help control the hp, but they were long closed before I could get some 245's for the front, but I will do that tomarrow. To night I am going to take the 26 out the clip and check for any damage, as well as check the clutch. Also, I got a big Spearco fmic coming in, in two days, I will also post that when it arrives. Yeah the rims are pretty dirty and oxidated, but I dont mind that much, as long as they are wide enough. Maybe some time down the road I will get them powder coated white, with a polished lip.

I will not go single turbo but I am getting two gt25r's 63ar exh.

Well, I asked if they come with calipers, but the question was ignored. Since I payed 4673 for the clip, I guessed everything was included. Also, I knew there was front end damage, that killed the intercooler and radiator. But thinking it was radiator support damage, when I looked at it, the chassie was pulled making it look "not so bad" but in reality the whole left front was smashed in, destoying the PS and AC and cracking the bracket in half! It also cracked a flange coming off the turbo. I checked the other side and the oilfilter is at a 20deg angle :tweak: . I know you think that is bit $$$ to have such things wrong, but the rest of the motor is super nice. I Got video clips of it running and it ran nice, but I am going to take it out the clip to night to check for and serious damage. I am so so happy with it, as long as the rest of the motor is fine, but I will need to start looking for a rb20 or rb25 PS, I may even fab a KA one to work. That is later though. I need to get this thing in my car first, maybe even build some arms before I mess with PS. Though I would have appreciated being informed of such damage before spending five grand. I should atleast deserve some calipers, but ohwell, I am satisfied in with it in the long run, that is of course unless I find something unpleasent tonight :ugh: .

Cardinal Performance here in GA. I got a SR clip a month ago from them, that was ultra clean. Even though it was about 3k, it was worth it. So I figured even though they are pricey it was worth the quality. Seeing how nice the sr clip made me go through them for the 26, I just wish the 26 was just as clean, but I think it is still good. I needed to upgrade the intercooler any way since it maxes out at 400whp, and the radiator is to tall to use in a 240 so the only thing I miss out on is the PS which is not a big deal. I did not get to take the 26 out of the clip tonight sice I was helping a friend change a clutch on his sr, but I will do everything tomarrow in daylight. Dont let me scare you away from Cardinal Performance, they are very good company.

They were ripped off :cool: , I saw there was a boost gauge and boost controller, and something was spliced into the ecu harness, SAFC? But I did get a big ass SS down pipe, I will see what brand it is tomarrow, but I can not use it due to clearance issues, but it should fetch some nice money on ebay, along with the tranny, and ABS controller, and some other parts. It also came with some nice adj KYB's but I cant use that either. So far I dont see any other goodies. Maybe when I take off the tranny I will find something nice, OS baby OS ! I can also use the cross drilled rotors it came with but that is no biggie. Who ever had this car befor me did not walk away from the crash. The drivers side was compleatly crushed in at the door, and hours were spend pressure washing Japanese blood off the clip. So now it looks like I will have a cursed 240 with Japanese gosts flying around it and shit. Hell they may even give me some pointers on drifting this thing? We will have to see.

Thanks Sykikchimp, I tryed through my email but my school server will not allow it. It is 5m a peice. I will get my borther or my friend to send it through their email in about 2-3hrs. Right now I am going to start on the clip, and hopefully I wont find anything else broken.

Well I made a hell of a mess today. It was a bit of a pain in the ass, compared to removing a rb20. As with most rb clips, I removed it by onbolting the sub frame and letting the motor drop onto a tire, then lifting the clip up and moving it away. The awd got in the way of things alittle, and some ac crap was keeping the motor from dropping, since, the impact pushed the motor against it. So I just got a big ass saw and cut the clip in two. Everything looks good, the turbos look great and no other broken things, The PS is also fine, I just have to switch the pullie. It mad a hell of a mess, and now there is left overs of about 5 swaps on the side of my house. I need to set up a weekend to clean all this crap up. Top Hat is making my mounts for free, So now the only hold up is finding a rb25det tranny. If any of you guys know where one is, it would be greatly appreciated ! ! ! I will keep you up to date on the progress of the whole project. If I find a rb25 tranny, I would be on the dyno in two weeks, it all relies on that transmission.

you could use a 300zx tranny with the rb26 bellhousing, there is a few more minor mods needed, and you still use the rb clutch and flywheel i think too

I just put the tac in, about 5min ago. I did a half ass job but its cool as long as it works untill I get my aluminium dash. It only took about 10minuts, but if you have 20minuts, you could clip bits of the plastic off, as you can see my tac is in there at a 1deg slant. I have not touch the 26 today, Ive been quite lazzy, but I did buy anouther 240. The towing guy should be here any time now.
