Here's the story...

Was drifting at an event out here, got some under steer and hit a cone. Usually isn't a big deal except this cone hit my clutch fan which tore my whole harness that sits at the front of the engine. It tore the distributor, maf, intake temps, and whatever wires cross the front of the engine there.

I ended up swapping a used harness from a shop here in town in. I went to start the car and it would just crank. Pulled spark plugs they're all sparking. I pulled off the fuel line and the fuel pump is priming the lines. I took the injector rail off and they werent firing. I ended up pulling the distributor out and put the key on. Spun the gear and you hear them all click. I opened up my ecu to see it had a burnt lead so i changed that out with another 95 obd 1 manual ecu. Still no fuel from injectors.

HERES THE REASON IM CONFUSED:

If i spray a little starter fluid in the TB to get it to kick over and start it will. It will idle all day long which means the injectors are then firing. If i step on the gas to rev it, it will limit at about 2k and pull up a maf code. I figured the maf was bad and changed it out as well. Still pulls the maf as being bad. BUT IT WILL ONLY SHOW THIS CODE IF I SPRAY STARTER FLUID IN THE TB TO START IT . Before that it will flash code 55 meaning all sensors are working. Super stumped i appreciate any help i can get. I tried people here in town and no one understands it.

Thanks guys.

Well, the MAFs wouldn't keep it from starting. That's #1 are you absolutely positive all of the wires damaged were fixed? Sounds like it damaged some of the main harness also.

I'm not 100% positive the main harness didn't get damaged from it. I will check that later tonight as it gets cooler. All relays and fuses were also checked over a million times for safe keeping. Will report back with any information I find tonight.

Thanks for pointing that out.
