Ive been a frequent reader for some time now. I bought a set of koni yellows for my s13 after much recamendations from my older brother, who has a koni coilover setup for his foxbody. Anyways i was wondering what good spring rates would be for the 90% daily driver 10% ocational Slideing around at the track. Was gonna go with ground control. What about camber plates recamendations? I heard about the gold tiens but anything else Thanks

So this is how it turned out. Koni yellow sports with ground control kit spring rates 400f and 350b. I went with pillowball ebay mookie camber plates on all 4 corners. It feels so nice. im happy i went with this setup. I took it for a drive last night man no squeks or noises at all from the coilovers. My rear tires are the wrong size for the car there 205 65`s so im gonna get a pair of 205 60`s for the back to make it look right. Or a set of deep dishes 17inch. Any questions let me know

Looks like this thread is a little old now, but I just found it. Do you have any pictures of the coilovers themselves? Assembled I mean. I'm looking into the same set up and I want a some reference. I'm surprised at how low it goes.

These are the front setup. Im changing my rear pads inclike 2 days so ill post that picture too. I might set them alittle lower. Def the rear alittle
Drop the front insert in the housing for more travel. Drill a hole large enough to pass the retaining nut welded on the insert through the housing, then use something to retain it. You get an extra 3/4" of travel or so by doing this.

I've heard of people using either a big nut (and a big thick fender washer over the nut to hold things together), or even a bicycle seat clamp. You could also cut a section of pipe that'll fit over it and that'd be fine.
I'd just go to Home Depot and get creative.

What would you use to retain it? Do you have any pictures of this? For some reason I can google any Taiwanese coilover I can think of and find 10,000 pictures, but if I google Koni/GC I just get a few pictures here and there. Thanks for your help guys.
Streetracer8x, the setup looks great! Thanks for posting more pics. I can't wait to do this myself.
Edit: Def, just saw you already answered this.

Thanks! That's really helpful!
That is a great ride height. Also I run 215/60/R15 on my SEs and it looks awesome and handles amazing. So dont let anyone tell you your tire size is wrong.

I used big ass washers from ACE. lol

Then switched to ebay camber plates cause they only have about an inch of stack height.

Took the helper out for more low.

Now I am going to switch to a 6 inch spring and get rid of the adjuster..

My mookie ebay plates are starting to surface rust a little. Its not bad at all though. Im working on lowering the car alittle more. So next week in going to solid subframe bushings with the risers. So thats when im gonna work on lowering it more. I got to wait a month or two to get solid bushings for the knuckles or get pbm drop knuckles. Then im looking at all the rear pillowball suspension arms. Preferably pbm, battle version or spl. So alot of plans. I wanna work on the front angle too
