Hey y'all I recently picked up a creamy yellow two tone with a great interior and a un cracked brown HUD dash. The plan to is to pull every thing out and replace the carpet and headliner and rear deck lid with black/gray parts and clean and paint everything else with SEM's semi gloss black paint. My question is what is everyone else using to protect there interior as I want to keep the dash uncracked lol

DO NOT REMOVE THE DASH BOARD!!! if you do, when reinstalled, the dash will crack. if you remove the dash, you will be removing its original forming tension and changing the 20+ year old formed tension when reinstalling. this will inturn cause the dash to crack (most likely directly above the gauge cluster).

Definitely stay away from armor all! It's the worst.

my car will be the guinea pig car as i personally test fit everything i make myself to ensure fitment. this allows me to answer any questions anyone may have for install advice.

also, the comment about armor all above is not true... most folks just apply it wrong. when you use armor all, you spray it on a soft rag or paper towel in good amounts, then apply it (NEVER SPRAY CLEANER/FINISHER DIRECTLY TO YOUR SURFACE). let it sit for about 30 seconds to a minute, then grab a clean rag or towel and wipe away all the excess! ive been using armor all on my 240 dashboards for 13+ years now, never had a SINGLE issue with it causing cracks... and i live in vegas where its a bazillion degrees outside in the summer!

Never, ever will I use Meriguars again or any other crap for my dash.

Last week I decided to dust it of and protect from sun and heat because I loved my crack free dashboard. I applied this crap in the evening on cool dashboard in the shade and followed the instructions on the bottle. Next afternoon when returning home from work my dash had huge crack from the windshield to the top of it. Yesterday I noticed new crack forming just in the middle of the dashboard.
I feel like I should sue them for screwing my perfectly good interior.
There is no doubt that these cracks were caused by Meguiars protector.

fill the new incomplete crack with super glue immediately... it will stop spreading!

Aerospace 303 is the only thing that should touch anyone's dash or rubber trim.

I don't use jack on my dashboard. I just wipe it down with a microfiber towel to clean the dust. I'm kinda paranoid about putting chemicals on it.

Crack free dash since the factory.

Agreed. 303 Aerospace protectant is simply sunscreen for vinyl and plastics. You can typically find it a places like West Marine. There is nothing better.
