Connecting rod bushings

Hi

Pretty straight forward question. I am rebuilding my JDM SR20DET (s14) from 1997 and my repair shop has told me to buy the connecting rod bushings.

The part number for my engine is 12030-79E01

but I can't find it anywhere to buy it

My question is, the bushings from the USDM SR20 are compatible?

The part number is 12030-60J02

yes, USDM SR20 rod bearings are the same. But, why not just get a set of ACL's or something? They're super cheap and durable. You're gonna be spending a couple hundred bucks on OEM bearings when ACL's are like 75-100 for the set.

Ohh gotcha. Definitely thought you were referring to the rod bearings. As far as I'm concerned, and from swapping parts over, the entire rotating assembly between FWD and RWD SR's is interchangeable. The only differences in them is the FWD doesn't have oil squirters and the FWD has weaker rods. Everything else is the same.

Any idea where I can find them aftermarket? Only 1 OEM in stock in the US, no stock in JPN, discontinued in my country (Peru), I will have to buy entire con rods because this little 6 bucks piece.

lol no! You are risking enough as it is trusting another shop already to install rod bushings across the board.
In the USA alone, there is a high chance this operation (all clearance settings) will fail with that engine.

If your goal is 300 or less to the wheel, I would just buy a complete running longblock(s) and replace as necessary. It will be cheaper in the long run (around here it would be).

Unfortunately I am from Peru and buying a long block is not a cheap option, I already ordered some forged conrods =( I will have to wait for my LSD way longer than I thougth now due to the bucks invested
