Hey everyone I'm looking for personal opinions here. I picked up an NX1600 digi cluster a while back and it's just been sitting and I really want to put it in my RHD car. I'm just trying to figure out if there's a way for it to work with a RB25. Theoretically, just do what's need to make a S13 work the the digi cluster and then do whatever the RB needs to work with the S13, but, I'm getting confused as far as the analog vs. digital portion. I know Dakota has the speedo/rpm converters but I'm assuming they're for analog gauges. Would they still work the same with a digital gauge? What do you guys think? Thanks in advance for the help.

I don't know if a Dakota digital will work with a nx cluster (I assume it will). The only difference between analog vs digital in this case, is analog will see all voltages between 14 and 0, and can react differently if voltage is modify (this why some people use resistors for this). But digital looks found low (GND) and high (positive voltage), so a resistor will not work you have to modify the frequency. Basically al you need to do is set it up a 2/3 frequency divider. I'm actully making one for my roomates rb25 neo s13, once the parts come in.

Haha well, if I can't get it to work correctly with the rb25, I'll be selling it because then I'll obviously have no use for it. I'm going to try and see what happens in regards to following the path of "making it work" with the s13 chassis and then secondly for the rb25 speed sensor to work the s13 chassis which should then "theorotically" (famous last words) work. We'll see what happens!

This guy is smart! Sell it to him and then buy a cluster from me:) GPS speedos don't care what vehicle or motor you have!

Good luck regardless what path you choose.

haha thanks for the advice! i'll definitely take a look into a racepak iq3 or something of the sort if I can't get this to work. I would imagine that, because it worked with my SR car, (aside from the speedo reading double), it would work with my RB if I use the n/a z32 sensor with the RB gear.

Just run a GPS with the speed reading. Who needs a legitimate speed anyway? As long as you have the fly NX cluster cops will just drool at you when they pull you over. Or so I'm told. Everything on the internet has to be true right?

(Used to have an NX cluster, I should have never sold it before I installed it.)
