Skyline GTR VS GTS Help (body parts)

calling all skyline know-it-alls

I have a 94 Skyline GTR currently in the body shop for paint and have run into some body issues

Someone came and rolled my front fenders and in doing so pulled them out beyond repair. I drove 10 hours last night to the coast of NC to get some fenders and they are GTS fenders.

I was under the assumption they are the same but they are not

After mocking up all body pieces it looks like they could work but the corner lights are different. I have looked up and found that GTR and GTS corner lights are different because of length

So my question is am I going to have any other issues? The fender lines up the holes so it can be mounted but the other thing I saw is the front side skirt piece that goes onto the fender doesnt line up right. we plan on cutting that piece to slide into the side skirt under the door

If corner lights are the only thing different does anyone have any GTS corners? I am trying to get the car 100% done by next Friday and it is literally one hold up after another after being there for 3 weeks already. The car is primed and just sitting right now.

you need to find gtr fenders if possible the gtst fenders are also narrower. get on ebay you can find front clips for sale and is never bad having spare hood and bumper in case of accident. you could also buy after market front fenders.

Ideally that would be great. Down the road I might swap them out for carbon fiber front fenders. As of right now I've exhausted all time and money with a million other things that went wrong. I know they are slightly narrower but do not look bad at all. I was just wondering if there is any other reason I can not run these fenders.

GT-R Fenders are wider, so if you put GTST fenders on a GT-R and you look down the body it will look like you only have a rear Wide body.

What the 2 above said. the front fenders on a GTST are narrower than a GTR.

If you need a pair like right meow.... There is a dude in AZ who was parting out a GTR front clip (IIRC it was a GTR) and it was posted in the www.skylineownersusa.com as well as the SOUSA facebook page. Both sources should have someone with a spare fender or two laying around.

Weird^..Also easy way to tell GT-R from GTST is GT-R fenders are aluminum, GTST are metal. Huge diff in weight, just picking one up you will know which is which

yeah and the front bumper is also wider if I recall, the corner lights are different colors as well. This is why GTS-T guys do GT-R face conversions.

I will have an extra pair in ~ a month, but that doesn't help you right now.

94 is a R32... not R34. neither of which is hard to find parts for. Finding them in a weeks time can be a bit of challenge, but there are plenty of sources out there there.

Both of those parts should be easy enough for Gtrgarage to source for you.

this guy has a lots of random parts and had a set of corner lights I almost bought. I would imagine he probably has the stuff you are looking for. Can't speak to how "legit" he is.
