AZUSA, Calif. (KABC) -- All lanes of the westbound 210 Freeway in Azusa have reopened after a wrong-way crash that killed one driver early Saturday morning.

Authorities say a black Honda Civic was traveling eastbound on the 210 West when it collided head-on with a white Nissan near Irwindale Avenue just after 3:30 a.m.

A male driver in the Nissan was declared dead at the scene. A female passenger in the Nissan, a teenager, was rushed to a local hospital in unknown condition.

The wrong-way driver of the Honda and his passenger fled the scene on foot, but Azusa police located them and took them into custody about two hours later. Their names have not been released.

Westbound lanes reopened at about 7:40 a.m.

Hopefully they charge the driver of the honda with murder and attempted murder. If anyone knows this person or the family please stay in touch with the community, so we can do everything we can to show support and help them through this difficult time.

If anyone comes across the names/mugshots of the offenders (if they're released) please link to them, I'm need to know who did this.

Rest In Peace, Brother, and may the Lord be with you and your family.

Well now there's 2.

an update:

Police say Romo's family was already going through financial hardship when they were notified about Romo's tragic death. A memorial fund has been created at the Chase Bank in El Monte to help the family pay for funeral expenses. If you wish to help, visit any Chase branch and donate with a check to account #621355937.

The suspect was identified as 24-year-old Tyler Thompson. He was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to the CHP.
